Bosch plug wires were the only option at the parts store. No the plugs were pre gapped. I torqued to spec. Gasket looked fine. I’ll check the upstream sensors, you are referring to o2 sensors correct?
How would one test the Nnock retard?
Was running fine 193,000 miles never had the plugs or wires changed so that’s why I did it. I used mass airflow cleaner to clean the sensor and throttlebody cleaner to clean throttle plate.
It has a slight rough idle now, no codes
Appreciate the insight I’ve changed the plugs and wires cleaned out the mass airflow sensor and throttlebody new air filter too. No misfires smooth idle seemed to drive fine yesterday when I drove it up to the store to get the fuel pressure gauge when this happened on Friday I could stomp the...

Yes it runs smooth. What’s the best option for a scanner that will reset the fuel percentages that won’t break my wallet? I’ll run by harbor freight this morning to pick a pressure gauge.
I have a new to me 2011 Tahoe Z71 with 196k. It was a Northern vehicle, so I’ve been slowly replacing parts that are badly worn or rusted.
I’ve replaced plugs and wires with AcDelco Iradiums. Cleaned and removed the throttle body and MAF sensor.
I’ve also replaced all axle and transfer...
Definitely not pressing the dome over ride button. All the lights come on when I initially unlock the doors with the FOB but turn off after about 30 seconds even with the doors open. Its very strange
Come to think of it My radio does stay on when I exit the car. None of the doors cause the lights to turn on. Try spraying WD directly in the latches? Also why won the map lights turn on when I push the buttons? They will turn on from the dimmer but not individually
Im having an issue with my interior lights not coming on when the doors are open. I also am not able to use my map lights by depressing the buttons. I can turn all my lights on via the dimmer switch. All the lights will come on when I push the unlock button on my FOB. Is there a fuse that might...
I noticed trans fluid around my shifter cable this weekend. Any ideas of common leaking points? Im not low on trans fluid, but I would like to find the source of the leak. Maybe my transfer case?
While I was replacing my brake lines this weekend I noticed the circular bracket that holds my fuel pump and lines from my fuel pump were badly rusted. I thought about just replacing the pump at a later time. But after letting the tank sit with the back lower then the front I noticed a good...
I just completed this project. Its a beast of a job. I removed the spare tire, and ended up having to remove fuel tank to be able to remove the retaining clips that hold the brake lines in place.
Make sure you don't have stability control. If you do its a different set of brake lines. I made...
Ive noticed a leak in my driver side brake lines. Its not a major leak but needs attention ASAP. I would prefer to use a braided brake line to make installation a little easier as well as making the line more durable. Any suggestions?
Ive got an 05 Denali with 140k Ive noticed I have some transmission fluid leaking around the shift cable. The transmission isn't low on fluid. Ive cleaned the bottom of the transmission to check for a leak but the leak comes back too fast to figure out the location.
Also Ive noticed at low...
I removed both the dash piece and the cup holder and spent about an hour rubbing it off buy hand. The plastic underneath has white spots around where the heat pressed the latches. I bought a can of marble grey out door spray paint from Lowes it was a perfect match. I tapped off the surround and...
Hey guys Ive got an 05 Denali with 170k Im starting to hear a noticeable whine from the engine and am thinking its the power steering pump. Theres about an inch or so of play in the steering wheel. Any thoughts on what replacement pump to use?
