I replaced the original water pump... It served me well for 279,680 and was still doing it's job but, it had started to weep a little and I decided to retire it before it gave out somewhere in the wilderness... I had been dreading doing that job however it surprised me how much easier it was to...
I used a tuner to adjust for the gearing and tire size changes that were made. Then adjusted it to a radar and also compared it to a couple gps speedos.
I know from first hand experience with a calibrated speedo if you run 35's with 4.88 it will shift into 6th gear as low as 35 MPH... and around town MPG will be terrible as will highway speeds. Mine got 8-10 MPG or less.
Even with 35's my 4.10 gears on the street seems a little to much. Off...
My bumpers are pretty hefty too, they're not just for looks. I think they are at least twice the thickness of most bumpers out there that I have seen. They are built for towing and pulling. It's a shame they stopped making them.
I replaced the up stream O2's and since the down stream were original I replaced them too. I just moved to Louisiana and drove this 1400 miles and no more codes... Every thing is working again... Thank you to everyone for your input. For now I am living in Louisiana...
Mine is converting from 45 acp to 9mm with the 72 round sumi drums. It slows cyclic rate down to 750 rpm from 1080 rpm it can be a little picky depending on which drum I have in it..
Yes three real old ones and one new...
I decided to just replace all 4 sensors with GM parts... I was also going to replace my MAF sensor but the dealership said they are no longer available... That makes me wonder how the dealership was going to replace it the other day with an original...
Here is how my day went at the dealership....
I had an appointment today at 10:00 am brought my Tahoe in at 9:30 after driving 80 miles to get there. I was told there is a minimum $220.00 diagnosis fee for testing my check engine light coming on. OK, I have no problem with this. I was an...
That may explain why I still got the P219B after replacing the O2 with an aftermarket one.
Is there a way to determine if it is a ECM or the pump?
I wonder how much the dealership will want to replace a fuel pump?
More things to get in the way before my cross country move... lol
Lets go back 6 months...
I was getting a check eng and P219B code sometime back then. I would reset them and it would be fine for a month or so.
At that timen I changed plugs and wires I noticed the passenger side had normal...
Yea I just did the trip last month without a trailer and running 80mph got things a little hotter than I like. Engine core temps got up to 245.
If I tow a trailer I will certainly limit my speed to 65 to 70.
I have an Elect fan cleaning out the cond. and rad are probably a good idea my evap...
I am moving from Arizona to Louisiana and thinking about towing a small uhaul trailer with my motorcycle and some other stuff total weight might be around 4000 pounds.
I am running 410 gears have 250 miles on the Tahoe around 5000 on the last transmission rebuild.
I am wondering how risky...
