    06 GMC Yukon 4 12s ported with 4k+ RMS or 6 12s ported with 7k+RMS

From the 2nd row buckets back I know 4 12s in a ported box will fit with no issues. The sub manufacturer suggested about 1.3-1.5 cubic feet per sub ported. So with 4 I would be looking at around a 6 cube box and with 6 about a 9 cube box. If I wanted to keep the box under the window line, make...

    6.0 heads and cam

I am in a similar situation with my Yukon although I swapped in a LQ9 from the 5.3. I had a 416ci LS3 in my Trailblazer SS that I ran for years with a set of Stage 2 WCCH LS3 heads with a 240/250 .623 .617 114 cam and a stock L92 intake manifold. The motor had an 11.8 CR that I ran on 93 octane...

    Pieced together Big brake kit

I have Hydroboost on my Yukon and still did a BBK. I am very happy with how it brakes now, I really just want to swap out the rear calipers for the aesthetic value. Having Brembo calipers on the front and stock 2 piston calipers on the back isn't ideal. I really want Brembo calipers front and...

2006 GMC Yukon rear brake caliper

Actually I just found this https://ctsvbrakeswap.com/collections/gm-truck-suv-kits/products/gm-truck-suv-4-piston-c7-rear-big-brake-bracket-kit so if they still make this then this is perfect. It uses the stock rear disc, a commonly available caliper, doesn't break the bank, and will look tons...

    Pieced together Big brake kit

I have a 2006 Yukon with a 14" Brembo GT kit with 4 piston calipers and 2 piece rotors. I am working on trying to find a solution for the rear. I think the Brembo calipers from the front of a Cobalt SS will work on the stock rotors. The pistons are small enough to not over power the front I...

2006 GMC Yukon rear brake caliper

https://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/gm-parts-classifieds-23/custom-brembo-front-rear-brake-kit-547949/ this is the thread of the setup he had for sale. This is his truck with 20x9.5" and 20x11" BC Forged.

2006 GMC Yukon rear brake caliper

I know what it will take to get the calipers to work but I am trying to find someone that can make the bracket. There was a guy that had a BBK he built on performancetrucks.net. He used Baer Eradispeed 15" front rotors and 14" rear. He then used the Camaro SS calipers which he said was the same...

2006 GMC Yukon rear brake caliper

I was thinking of using the Cobalt caliper because the front caliper is almost identical in size to the stock rotor on my Yukon. It would be much more economical to just get a bracket, and caliper. If you look at the Cobalt disc and the Yukon they are nearly perfect and the piston sizes of the...

2006 GMC Yukon rear brake caliper

Parking brake is a drum inside the rear disc. I would leave the rear disc alone and only swap the caliper.

2006 GMC Yukon rear brake caliper

I have a 14" Brembo GT kit I think. It's a set of 4 piston calipers with 2 piece rotors and SS brake lines. I still have the stock rear disc and calipers but I would like to upgrade them as well. I would like to upgrade just the rear calipers and I found that the Cobalt SS front rotors are...

    Denali Grille Options

I have a painted rear bumper for my Yukon and I don't really like the full chrome Denali grille. Plus a Yukon with a Denali front end was offered by GM and wouldn't be anything special. But a Yukon with a Sierra front end is as unique as an 03-06 Silverado front end on a Tahoe.

    Denali Grille Options

Since my headlights and turn signals need to be replaced I am going to put a grey grille shell from an 04-06 W/T Sierra and headlights from the same MY truck since it's grey which I think will look really good on my white truck. I've just got to decide what I'm going to do for the bumper since...

    How About This Mod?

So with a 2006 Yukon would it just bolt on? I am really interested in this mod. I've already put Escalade D pillars on and painted them black. I wanted an Escalade hatch but they were so expensive and I was focused on spending my money on suspension, brakes, and performance.

Camber issue with 06 Yukon with drop spindles and Viking coilovers

I ordered the offset bushings from Belltech. What needs to be done to flip the upper control arms? I made this thread and then forgot about it because I don't get on forums as much as I used to. I have my wheels being fixed now, as soon as I get them back I'll throw the tires on the wheels and I...

Camber issue with 06 Yukon with drop spindles and Viking coilovers

No sorry I didn't make a thread on swapping the engine or anything. I got the Belltech alignment kit in on Monday and my new tires on Wednesday. I went from 275/40 and 315/35 to 275/55 and 325/50 to mount on my declad 20" GMC wheels that have been widened to 11" in the rear.

Camber issue with 06 Yukon with drop spindles and Viking coilovers

I swapped in the Belltech drop spindles 3 years ago and then put on the Viking coilovers and ditched the torsion bars. I'm not 100% what drop the front is but it's pretty much level or has a little front end rake from the rear 5" drop on 28" tall 275/40/20s on 20x8s on the front and 315/35/20s...

Camber issue with 06 Yukon with drop spindles and Viking coilovers

My 2006 Yukon is lowered with drop spindles, Viking DA coilovers, 5305 rear coils, DJM rear hardware kit, adjustable panhard bar, and helper bags. I have 275/40/20s front tires and 315/35/20s on widened declad 6 spoke GMC wheels. They are 28" tall and the coilovers are adjusted to about where...

LQ9, BBK, Viking coilover, lowered 2006 Yukon

I am considering selling my 2006 Yukon. It's lowered with spindles, Viking DA coilovers with torsion bar delete, DJM rear hardware kit, Belltech 5305 coils, Belltech shocks, Helper bags, and adjustable panhard bar. Brembo BBK, 20" declad wheels with the rears widened and 275/40/20 front...

Worth it to go from 3.73 to 4.11

Yes after we get it installed and running it will go to the exhaust shop to have the ORY mated to the exhaust and then we will put it on the dyno to tune it. Then to track to further tune it the street tuning.

Worth it to go from 3.73 to 4.11

I'm not going for a max effort build. I really just want a LS2 so 243 heads on a LQ9 is the same thing for a fraction of the price. The exhaust, intake manifold, and CAI I'm planning on putting together will help the motor especially with a cam. If I can comfortably make 420whp I'm all for it...

Worth it to go from 3.73 to 4.11

It's been a while since I drove it so I don't remember but my Trailblazer has 4.11 and 28" tires and it turns 2500 I think at 70. I will double check tomorrow on the interstate.

Worth it to go from 3.73 to 4.11

The reason I was planning to use that BTR Stage 3 truck cam which is 218/224 .553 .553 110 cam was that I could use stock LS6 valve springs and stock pushrods. So the valve train will live alot longer and not be as noisy. BTR said a LQ9 with the 243s, Fast 102, and exhaust I was planning on will...

Worth it to go from 3.73 to 4.11

The LQ9 is something I bought and it will either have some stock 243s or some mildly worked 243s my mechanic has I just haven't looked over them yet. The intake is a Fast 102mm and I will get a 102mm throttle body for it. I will end up building a 4" intake using an elbow off the throttle body...
