Alright I know it been a minute but I figured it out. It was the starter. Thanks ks03 for the help. I finally had the opportunity to check it out and swap it today. So nice not to hear that rattle squeaking noise anymore.
It isnt my exhaust and no I haven’t had time to dig into it more. Going to pull the starter next. As suggested by ks03 probably be the weekend before I can.
What your saying is exactly what it does when the noise starts. I’ve tried brake torquing and it doesn’t duplicate. I did have it on ramps the other day when I crawled under it and hit the exhaust when it started. I’ll pull the starter next chance I get and check that.
Sorry for delayed response was sick over the weekend. Just got a chance to get under it again yesterday evening. I got a sound clip but can’t figure out how to load on here. But what I found is puzzling. I checked the heat shields again removed the plugs on the bell housing couldn’t see anything...
Yea I knew it wouldn’t be a wheel bearing. I was thinking bout Having the front up actually since it seems to do it when the front end unloads a little off the suspension form a start or braking in reverse. But I’ll do the rear as well see what happens. Prob be closer to the weekend. I have...
Anyone had any experience with torque convertor bolts causing this ? It’s weird cause it doesn’t do it at idle. It sounds as if it is coming from underneath. That’s why I’m wondering about the bolts.
Almost sounds like a lose heat shield/pulley. But at idle it’s quiet. Just from dead stop or reverse then braking. I’ve hit the exhaust front and rear. One guy I work with said maybe a wheel bearing but I’ve had those go out and and it’s always been a roar or grind.
Anyone have and advice on where I have developed a rattle from. It’s an 02 tahoe 4wd and It only does it when I accelerate from a stop or go in reverse and stop. It seems like when the front end is unloaded is when it happens. I’ve crawled under it beat with a dead blow hammer and found...
Hey just looking for advice on a remote start/alarm. Good brand price and install info. My Tahoe is an 02 so is there anything I would need other than the system. Thanks for any info.
I put some pics up before and I thought I made a thread but I can’t find it. Anyways I have a straight bar on mine and used the curved 52” mounting brackets got them off amazon. Made a backing plate and drilled into my roof rack caps and bolted the light bar brackets to the caps with the...
So looking through this thread of constant upgrades and polishing I’m super jealous and pissed. I take pride in my ride however have seriously been slacking in keeping it clean. Have to say you suck man you should be banned. Lmao just kidding. That is one slick clean ride like you said it...
I appreciate it. I was careful when replacing the oil pan gasket doesn’t mean something wasn’t right. I did manage to check the cam sensor and oil pressure sensor everything up top looks good. I did check the bolts at the rear of the oil pan to make sure they were tight along with the block off...
Been trying to figure my leak out as well. About a year ago I did the oil pan gasket and oil cooler block off cause I had a substantial leak and it appeared to be the culprit. Now I have a leak that’s been on going and about every two to three weeks I’m adding a quart. Here’s a couple pic of...
The shadow is no further that than the front of the vehicle it actually lights up the hood. I don’t open the shade with it on either. It’s surprisingly bright and does very well.
Yea I knew it was a separate part. Thanks for your help I already had the oil pan gasket didn’t realize I needed these other two. Wanted to get everything ready for the weekend thanks again for the help guys.
