    Attempted car theft need advice

This is what I have done to my rig, and placed the Jimmyjammer stickers on the windshield, right above the door handles. The kill switch is hidden underneath the leather. You can’t see me enabling/disabling it when I start the truck.

    4 corner steam kit?

I used the stock 4-corner steam vent, like mentioned above, underneath my TBSS intake, and it fit just fine. This photo gives a better perspective, but it was before the TBSS intake.

    P0101 + P0300 = ?

Based on the data, I don’t feel you have a vacuum leak. Do the fuel trims start pegging close to or at max value (could be - or + %) when driving or varying RPMs? Were you able to rule out fuel pressure? You may also want to rule out the plugs, wires and coils like recommended above by...

    P0101 + P0300 = ?

No problem. I added in checking fuel pressure above. You can rent tools from autozone or O’Reilly’s to check it. If you can, post your fuel trim numbers (short trim and long trim from both banks) so we can review them. It may help point us to the right direction. Take readings when the engine...

    P0101 + P0300 = ?

Are you able to look at fuel trims to see if you’re running rich or lean? A vacuum leak could be toward the bottom of the intake (old gaskets) where it’s hard the carb cleaner to get to, which could still hide a leak. Have you checked all vacuum connections to make sure you don’t have a leak...

My 21 LT pulled out an 8,000lb mail truck from the snow

Tahoe’s are those hidden beasts. With my ‘05 Tahoe, I’ve pulled 2 semi’s, and a 3500 dually connected to a gooseneck that was carrying a large sign. I keep a 30k# tow strap underneath a mid-row seat.

Fuel Filling/EVAP issues tried everything please help

The same thing happened to me when my canister failed and blew pellets through the lines. Below is the advice I can give given what you’ve already done 1- inspect your purge and vent valves for proper operation and to make sure they’re not clogged. If you had pellets in your lines after the...

2007 Tahoe Tailgate - Auto Lift Not Working

It could be. Body codes would help here. However, the other parts underneath the panel and signals sent through the harness could be tested.

2007 Tahoe Tailgate - Auto Lift Not Working

He’s mainly pointing out his issue (door lock actuator) and how to open the door should that failure happen when it’s closed. Sometimes the sensors remain functional but the gears strip in that actuator. Sometimes the gears strip in the motor located in the driver’s side rear panel, or those...

2007 Tahoe Tailgate - Auto Lift Not Working

Oh ok. That doesn’t sound like an issue with the door lock actuator. I would concentrate on looking at the motor assembly that is tied to the liftgate arm. It’s underneath the rear driver side panels. Our issue was that the door lock actuator wouldn’t fully unlock the door to allow the...

2007 Tahoe Tailgate - Auto Lift Not Working

That was kind of our issue, except it would only fail during the auto feature. If the door lock assembly works, then it could be the motor assembly off to the driver’s side panel area. You can access it and test the Door motor assembly. There are videos and write ups covering this like the...

2007 Tahoe Tailgate - Auto Lift Not Working

When attempting the auto feature, the door completely unlocks and you’re still able to lift the gate? Our issue wouldn’t fully unlock the latch when using the auto feature. We could hit the unlock button then lift it manually, but in auto mode it wouldn’t fully let go of the door.

2007 Tahoe Tailgate - Auto Lift Not Working

Yep. Same symptoms we ran into. It kind of unlocks when trying the automatic opening, but the latch doesn’t fully open so the door is slightly opened (not fully closed but not unlocked to allow the door to open). The codes that came up for us were tied to the position sensor within that latch...

2007 Tahoe Tailgate - Auto Lift Not Working

Yeah, we replaced the whole latch assembly within the rear door. It’s called different things, like door lock actuator / liftgate lock actuator/ etc., but it was an assembled unit. The sensor that failed was internal to the unit in the screenshot below, and it looked like some of the sensors...

2007 Tahoe Tailgate - Auto Lift Not Working

I helped my brother diagnose this issue and the symptoms described by the OP were identical to his. If you have a tech 2 or similar scanner, the body codes may point you to the right direction. The codes for my brother’s truck pointed to the latch on the door. The latch has internal sensors, one...

'04 Yukon 6.0L Oil Pressure Reading Lower Than it Used to

Have you added any additives or cleaners to the oil? A clogged/failing oil filter (rare but it happens) can give similar oil pressure results.

    “Low oil pressure” I’m stuck...

If the oil pump pickup tube o-ring was nicked during installation, then it could caused those issues. This assumes the correct o-ring size was installed. Different oil pumps/tubes call for different size o-rings.

How many miles have your Tahoe put down in the road?

183k with this 05 z71. Pic is after some clay bar action and sealer/wax. They’re pretty stout trucks. I’ve pulled 2 semi trucks with it and a stranded dually with a gooseneck since I’ve owned it, but then again she’s not stock.

    2002 Tahoe..Help with rotational whirring.

For the transfer case, have you checked it for any leaks and fill level? I just went to inspect a 2006 Silverado for a buddy that lives out of town. The 4LO was stated as not working. I would try to engage it and you could hear the motor attempting to lock in, but you’d hear some grinding. I...

Alignments Suck -- What Am I Missing

On top of what the guys have recommended, I would also check to make sure your steering wheel hasn’t been incorrectly installed (there are groves that it sits on and someone can still force it on incorrectly - you’ll have to pull the airbag off, so do some research first for safety). I’d also...

    P0304 P0443 white smoke misfire 07 Tahoe 5.3 4x4

Check your old purge valve to verify it isn’t clogged. Sometimes when a canister fails, it’ll shoot carbon pellets through the lines, which can end up at the valve and clog it. Pellets keep clogging the purge valve until you clear the lines of those pellets. When you disconnect the line, shake...

What is a good / Better performance set of replacement low beams?

I second LED replacements - night and day difference from stock halogen bulbs. Also, they’re plug and play with no extra pieces to mount; and you don’t have to wait for them to warm up like HID’s. Check out v-leds.com and enter your vehicle info. They’ll let you know what options there are for...

Rough idle is back with vengence

Did you do the oil change yourself, or get it done somewhere like the dealer? I’d have to try to find the post, but someone else with a newer Yukon or Tahoe/suburban found that the dealer was putting in some lower quality oil that wasn’t the correct weight either. He would take it in for...
