My quest for new front seats..so close and so far...

I know this is an older thread but on YT there is a video from an outfit that makes adapter brackets to bolt newer seats in our GMT 400 vehicles. They're on FB also. Wish I could remember their name.

Help me find this oil leak please!

Looks to me if it was a restricted oil pickup screen then you would have low oil pressure to go with it along with a noisy valve train.

    97 4x4- can't put gas in truck

I believe if it was me I'd put a 5 gallon can of gas in the back and drive it close to home till it quits. Then pour the 5 gallons in, drive it straight home, drop the tank and fix it. Would beat running out far from home.

So I need a new drivers seat...

I have a 96 Yukon that the driver side seat bottom frame was cracked all to hell. Not sure what caused it but the driver seat is the only one definitely occupied when the vehicle is driven so it stands to reason it takes more abuse. Like guys rearing back to get change out of their pocket at...

4L65E Trans Is A Grenade Change My Mind

Another option would be a 4L80 or maybe a new 4L85 from GMPP and have the pcm reprogrammed for the different transmission.

Help me find this oil leak please!

I'm guessing you'll have it done, so have them change the front seal on the transmission while it's out.

8.25 IFS PS Carrier Bearing Part?

    Regular grease works as well.

    Look at this crap!

Which side of the oil pan is the oil level sensor? Might be the sensor just went bad but it might be the exploding plastic pulley cut a wire from the sensor to the PCM. The sluggishness may be the PCM has gone into "limp home" mode with a bad sensor or without input.

    What hose is this?

IIRC there is an o-ring on the drain plug and replacing it might stop your leak.

Apparently no one knows the horn location

If that's the there should be a wire connector Nice 01Konvict, if they can't hear that horn setup they're freakin deef!

Battery Acts Dead but tests Good

Stock battery, does that mean original battery? If so, replace the battery and frame the current one . I've never seen a battery last that long (9 years?).

    p0420 help

O2 sensors are installed pre and post catalytic converters, The 0420 code I believe is reduced efficiency of the affected cat, which is nothing more than a comparison of the pre and post cat O2 sensors for that bank. The post cat sensor maybe within acceptable range but the comparison may...

    Lower Control Arm Issue

Cast iron LCA? I have never seen a cast iron control arm, some of the arms listed as steel are forged and look somewhat like cast iron.

Adding Acetone To The Fuel Tank

I worked with a guy years ago who dumped a quart of acetone in his 1978 Blazer, evidently he got a tank of gas with water in it. Used the acetone to dry it out or at least seemed to.

    Still the same problem!!!!

I just watched a video on YouTube a couple nights ago about this very issue, albeit on a car. Seems the air intake for the purge valve is in the rear wheelwell and all the dust and crap gets sucked in and makes it's way all the way through the system into the engine. There are a couple filters...

    Help! Check the picture

If she bought it new or under warranty take it back to the stealership, make them fix it right and stand good on the warranty.

    How bad is it Doc?

Kinda hard to tell from the picture but my vote is the hose end is leaking a little. I'd try a new hose first.

    IDIOT GOT SCAMMED! Please help!

I wouldn't think proving he knew would be too hard, you have the "real owner's name and number" so all you need is an affidavit probably that he sold it to the flipper and that the flipper knew the motor was bad.
