What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Had to replace the spiral cable to fix Service Airbag message on the DIC. Noticed the message would disappear in certain steering wheel positions. I could only clear the code in that position also, otherwise it came back immediately. Went ahead and replaced torn shift boot while I was there...

    Replacing rear shocks in a ZW7 & G65 Yukon

The Nivomats ride the best and perform great. If swapped to regular or Bilsteins, make sure the coil springs have already been replaced with the z71 type springs or replace them

    Issues with turn signals

Definitely check the rear lighting block for corrosion. It is by the rear left wheel. You can clean any green pins or choose to replace it. It’s cheap. https://a.co/d/5n21fg0

    2004 yukon slt a/c issues

You need to replace the actuators. The one for the driver side is up and to the left of where passengers feet go. The mode actuator is more fun(!) and up and to the right of where the drivers feet go. Make sure you get that big plastic cam thing lined up right.

    Radiator recommendations

    A) Is there a mileage that is recommended to swap the radiator? IRS now 20+ years old and working fine but…I’d rather not have it pule at a bad time. B) what replacement is everyone using? I see the Delco one is $265. What about Denso or some other aftermarket that is good? Denso is $100...

    Buzzing noise after a bump?

Buzzed at me for about a second again, this time just changing lanes. Wasn’t the stereo, was listening to a podcast it wasn’t interrupted or anything.

04 tahoe: Rear captain chair top half won't lock

Having this same problem with mine now. Anyone have an answer to show to free up the mechanism?

    Captains chair issues

Can anyone tell me how to put this fabric back correctly? It is the underside of the flip up captains chair trim. Can’t figure out how these pieces go together. Also, anyone know if there’s a fix to the handle for the captains chair seat back? I found a new handle and it broke also. The cam...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

On today’s episode of “it ain’t supposed to be like that” here’s the old steering shaft after replacement. This is after I wire wheeled it and greased it. It had plenty of rust on the telescoping part. This is the 3rd time I’ve replaced this POS over the years. Tried different iterations of OEM...

    Buzzing noise after a bump?

Still no recurrence of the mystery buzz. For now, I’m going to chalk it up to beta iPhone software.

    Buzzing noise after a bump?

As good a guess as any I suppose. I have replaced a few of them over the years, last was the mode door one I think

    Buzzing noise after a bump?

probably about a second a half. The first time it happened I wasn’t even sure it wasn’t sparking else’s car. Second time I had a passenger and we both knew it was mine for sure. Went over the same railroad tracks 4 times this weekend, couldnt reproduce it

    Buzzing noise after a bump?

Still monitoring. Still only happened twice. Best guess is stereo, who knows. If it would happen, I’d try with the stereo off but for now, I guess I wait

    Buzzing noise after a bump?

Definitely not tire rub. That doesn’t sound like a washing machine buzzer, and I redid all the shocks etc a while ago, had these tires for a couple of years. No dash lights, headlights were not on because it was sunny.

    Buzzing noise after a bump?

Need some help. Twice now I’ve hit a large bump (railroad tracks) and hear a loud buzzing from what seems to be in the dash or possibly firewall area. It lasted about a second and a half. Best way I can describe it is the alarm from an old washing machine or dryer buzzing you that’s it’s done...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Quest for a grey rear captain’s seat recline lever was successful yesterday at a small salvage yard I’d never been to. Did some touch up paint on the top. Got it all re-protected and cleaned up

Coolant Leak after oil pan gasket change?

As stated, check those T fittings. Otherwise borrow/rent a pressure tester from your local auto parts store and pressure test it.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Finally had my rear main leak fixed after 9 years And they broke off the bolt that holds the bracket for the wire harness on the transmission. Of course. Not sure what to do to secure it, it’s just hanging there. Too close to the frame for me to drill it out or try an ez out I think. Only thing...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

What? A/c has worked perfectly for the 10 years I’ve had the Yukon…

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yeah, that’s why I was puzzled when I noticed quickly. I was changing the air filter and saw it was oily. Never had to mess with the a/c on this truck yet, so I don’t know much about it.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Haven’t had a chance to look into it at all, no issues yet. Anyone know what is actually seeping here and what is likely to need for a fix? Thanks.

    Decent upper control arms

I’ve already replaced just about everything in the front end other than any ball joints. They just keep checking out fine lol

    Decent upper control arms

oh well, I checked both upper and lower ball joints and they’re still tight so I’ll pass on this deal this time.
