    Shocks for '14 Tahoe.

Perhaps, I'm not going to be the first one to do Bilstein swap on '14 Tahoe. By every measure available my shocks and struts are still fine, it is bouncy because it is empty all the time, and towing nothing. Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

    Shocks for '14 Tahoe.

Turns out, my factory rear shocks look nothing like Nivomats, and the springs are quite beefy. So I think I'm going with Bilstein 4600 Series 24-186933 rear and 24-186926 front. Thank you, guys!

    Shocks for '14 Tahoe.

Gee, you've got me confused again. I don't have G65, but I do have ZW7, which I thought was self- leveling Nivomat... Now I don't even now what I have there...

Weird smell when A/C is turned on

That's weird. I'd think that Snap-On scanner would do a better job than my old (perhaps, Chinese) Maxidas that only goes to 2013... Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

Weird smell when A/C is turned on

Afterblow has really a lot of presentation online and in GM service manuals. What I've found though that in my '14 Tahoe it doesn't perform as they say. It's a full blast more than 10 minutes after I shut the truck down. Than there's another jolt in about 10 minutes. And yet another one down the...

Weird smell when A/C is turned on

Check afterblow option if it's enabled. This might not be an error after all. Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

    Shocks for '14 Tahoe.

I'm ready for the suspension work on my '14 4WD Tahoe, but can't find a better option for my rear ZW7 Nivomat shocks. Besides Delco's 560-700 or 560-703, what other options do I have? Is there a conversion kit like Bilstein has for the prior years? In the front, I think I will use the Bilstein...

You don't have to, although they managed to sell the truck to you :) With no filter! Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

That's mold growing in your evaporator. There are products to spray into cabin air intake set on recirculation. Alternatively, you can cut open the slot to install your own cabin filter, which is right in front of heater core and evaporator, and spray there before you install the filter. I did...

    Speaker/ amp recommendations

I'd make the truck soundproof first. Dynamat, closed-cell foam, mass-loaded vinyl. I did that few years ago. About 100lbs of weight later, I can tell you that your Tahoe without the above is just a rattle can. You can try and implement different things sound-wise, but unless it is soundproof, it...

    2007 yukon mods

Are the newer-gen seats just a bolt-on swap? Never thought about that. I replaced the 2nd row bench with Cadillac captains from the same generation in my '14 Tahoe. Would be interesting to know if newer-gen seats work as well. My understanding is that they are slimmer, I'd like that. And front...

Found best visibility, and its under 20 bones...

I guess I'm half-way there. I put H9-s on a stock harness in my Tahoe, and at the same time made a harness for my son's Crown Vic PPV, because they are notorious for dim lights. Made it with 10ga silicon wires, waterproof relay and ceramic sockets. Both projects yielded great results. Why did I...

Any advice for front end protection?

You really don't have to though. I unbolted the top and used these bolts as hard mounting points, piercing the top of the mesh. At the bottom I tucked the screen in between the bumper cover and the bumper 's foam insert. I used few wedges to make the bottom of the screen hold. So the screen is...

Any advice for front end protection?

Take the bumper off and add the black aluminum door screen mesh to the inside of the grill. Your condenser will thank you very much. Many ways to do it, actually.

2nd row bucket seats not very comfortable

That's a thing, I'm not as large. Tall, way under 200lbs. The valuable family that will be riding back there are almost twice as small. So maybe a larger person would fit just fine by crushing the lumbar support all the way in, I don't know. Will have a trip of 3000mi in three weeks, with...

    Aftermarket shocks with Nivomat springs?

Mine is '14 plain Tahoe LS with ZW7, which implies Nivomat rear shocks. It feels like it can use a set of shocks and struts. It is recommended everywhere to replace both shocks and springs in the rear if going with non-self-leveling shocks, as Nivomats have load-bearing ability. If one replaces...

2nd row bucket seats not very comfortable

No, they don't, I'm pretty sure that the seats are the same across the board. Ok then, maybe it's just me, and the actual passengers will like them.

2nd row bucket seats not very comfortable

I've replaced a bench in my 2014 Tahoe with bucket seats from 2011 Escalade. While I love the extra space it provides for a fridge and small console for passengers, I don't find the seat's back very comfortable. They recline, which is a great bonus, however it seems that the lumbar area is very...

    Cleaning the throttle body

I'm did clean mine that way, to avoid any idle RPM problems. The assistant turns the ignition key without starting the engine, and floors the accelerator. The butterfly valve opens and you use your favorite tooth brush with TB cleaner to make it shine. Be gentle not to bend it. No disassembly...

Idle relearn / throttle body cleaning

I haven't watched video, but it is not about re-learning. It is about proper cleaning procedure, so re-learning is not required in the end.

Idle relearn / throttle body cleaning

If you don't open it by hand, it is not different from a normal operation on car. The car wouldn't even know you did cleaning.
