Trouble removing front differential fill plug

Air hammer or electric hammer with a point. Dig it into the side closest to the threads and hammer away. I was in your same boat with s stuck drain plug and an Air hammer did the trick. The stock drain plugs are Magnesium and the housing is Aluminium. A very small amount of Anti-seize on the...

    Loosing oil

Check oil cooler lines if you have them. Qhere the oil cooler enters the block, for some reason, gm decided to put a metal plate as a gasket. It usually leaks around there. Also, check underneath to see if there are any apparent leaking around. Top side around valve covers and oil cooler lines.

2010 Yukon Denali retrofit, highbeam issue

Ah, I see now. I retro fitted an OEM aftermarket style headlight. You did the spec-D. That maybe why I was kinda confused why the D2S would not fit. In my opinion, LED based SINGLE projector is crap. The hot spot isn't correct. I have never seen a single style LED projector outshine a HID...

2010 Yukon Denali retrofit, highbeam issue

By doing the diode between low and fog, it gives it power to the fog so when you activate highbeam, your fogs to autokill. Then by doing this mod: https://www.gmfullsize.com/threads/how-to-nnbs-6-hi-mod-the-proper-way.186969/ It allows you to run High and low together. Now with the diode and...

2010 Yukon Denali retrofit, highbeam issue

Yes. Highbeam is g/w. Low beam is G/blk. When running the diode, "blue" end is to g/blk wire like here:

    Catch Can disappointment pics inside

I recently put one on my 6.2 Yukon Denali. I pull a solid 3oz of blowby jizz every month it feels like. So far, I have pulled damn near a qt of blowby vapors and I havent even hit an oil change yet. I do beat the hell out of it though.........

2010 Yukon Denali retrofit, highbeam issue

Thanks to your reply, I was able to figure out, kinda, on how to run it semi correct. The way I now have it set it is running that kit from the lowbeam to the highbeam, vs lowbeam to fog. It works now since I need the use of highbeams over the use of fogs right now . I will have to order another...

2010 Yukon Denali retrofit, highbeam issue

I just finished a retrofit. Morimoto mini h1, bi-xenon. Wired everthing. Perfect. Lows come on and when I go to high-beam, the factory setting is to kill lowbeams and fogs. Got it. I bought this kit which is suppose to over-ride that setting. https://boostautoparts.com/products/6hi I wired...

    Black Bear Chicago Tune

I just got done running two tanks of E85 through on factory tune. To me, it felt, aka, buttdyno, it felt not as quick. The 6.2 feels like it moves, but felt different from the 91. Going back onto 91, The power was lower in the rpm range and kinda fell on its face after 5krpm. The E85 felt down...

Options for Upgrading 2009 Yukon SLT Headlights

RETROFIT. Ignore the fat asian dude....he is of no concern. Also, like double.......said. LED Signal bulbs with resistors complete it nicely. The factory road lighting is horrid. Even the fogs are better than some, but not great. TRS/MORIMOTO sells actual Plug and play LED fog light for 07-14...

    Alternative to OE 20" Bridgestone?

I currently have the Sumitomos Encounters HT. For a cheap tire, not bad. I have yet to hit up the winter in these, but for a highway/all season, they feel pretty good. I have also had the Firestone Destination AT. Pretty good. Michelin defender LTX. BETTER. COOPER A/t3 good. If it were up to me...

    Seems sluggish

Maintenance. Every once in a while, I like to run a tank with seafoam x3 in a row. Does it help? Maybe. But it will at least give me a piece of mind that I am cleaning out injectors. I like to seafoam the top end every so often (20k miles), with that, new set of plugs and wires. They are cheap...

    2010 Yukon XL 2500 - Cooling Fans

You are saying that your 2010 Yukon XL has a clutch style fan? I was under the impression that anything over 2005 was switched over to Electric. You can swap to electric fans, but you will need to have them wired with a set of relays and have the Ecm enable that function. Still weird that...
