Manifold was removed to repair two broken bolts. Just got off the phone with parts store that is the wrong gasket a three piece gasket set should be used for OEM manifold that one I have is for aftermarket headers. So off to the parts store.
I am changing the broken bolts on passenger side exhaust manifold of 95 Yukon with 5.7 litre engine. Question is when I took it apart there was not much sign of a gasket. Auto part store sold me a Felpro 1444 one piece gasket. But not sure that is right gasket should they not be individual...
Does anyone know what the sensor is on the back of the rear view mirror in my 2005 Yukon? The automatic headlight sensor is on the dash right? So curious what this would be for. Truck does have Onstar but no auto wipers
Yeah if it turns out to be that the old girl can keep throwing the code :) I have done the intake gaskets on that truck and it is a pain in the arse. At least I fixed the hard start issue .......
Okay well AC Delco EGR came into so I swapped it out and it still throws code 32 :( Runs great, starts excellent now when hot. I am at a loss why it continues to throw code. Maybe the intake passages are blocked?? not sure. I guess I need to check the new EGR solenoid make sure it is not NFG...
I have 35 watt HID kit in OEM housings for years now and I have not had any issues with melting or any sign off too much heat. It might be an issue with 55 watt kit? I made sure to adjust them so they were not too high and have never been flashed from another driver. The housings have a metal...
Did some more home work on this code 32. It appears the replacement EGR provided was the wrong one so I have the proper AC Delco one on the way as well as new vacuum lines. Apparently these trucks a very particular about the EGR and non OEM units can be trouble. The proper EGR should be a...
So it appears it was a skewed sensor. The Ac Delco sensor came in but the new connector was delayed so I went ahead and swapped sensor and took existing harness apart fixed up the spade terminals and put everything back together. Took it for a test drive and no more dtc15 sensor code or hard...
Thanks for the manuals I had some of those but not all of them. I am still leaning toward an out of range after market sensor. As per the chart at 15C temp it should be 4450 but I got a reading of 3750 this was in the truck. I pulled the sensor and tested it to see if the values went up and down...
Sensor is not OEM and I suspect that may be the issue. If I check in various temperatures of water it works but is out of range compared to what the chart says the omh reading should be. I don’t like the connection so I ordered a new connector as well. Double checked the continuity of wires back...
So like the title says I have a 95 Yukon with the 5.7 liter V8 that is hard to re start once the engine is warmed up. Some background on what was going on. It started to run poor so first thing I did was pull codes. I had a EGR code, coolant sensor low temp code and O2 sensor code. So after...
Noticed on my 2005 Yukon today that Driver 1 or Driver 2 does not display on the DIC when starting truck. The seat memory functions work from the door controls but not when unlocking with the fob 1 or 2. The fobs work to lock and unlock truck just the DIC does not display what fob is being used...
Slotted rotors and ceramic pads for sure. If calipers have not been done recently do the whole thing while you are at it or murphies law you will be swapping out calipers a month down the road. Do a brake fluid flush while you are at it as well as inspect the rears. This way you can rotate the...
I have a 2005 Yukon Slt and have been through the dic a couple times looking to see if I can change the setting so when you hit un lock on the remote it un locks all the doors at once instead of just drivers door. Anyone know is there a special way to program this without having to take to dealer
My 05 with 17" wheels runs a P265 70R/17 I went with the Kumho Road Venture SAT KL61this is my second set I have same tires on my 95 as well. Here is a link http://www.kumhotire.ca/en/tire/category/truck-suv/C205BDE8-F7FF-4E90-82F1-4B22403CF2EB
No the seats will not fit unless you install the floor brackets for that seat as they are different. For the buzzing sound does your truck have the auto ride air suspension? It sounds like it may be the air comprssor running......
Welcome I am looking to purchase that very same truck right now. I am looking for the same answer but it looks like Alpine, Kenwood, Pionner etc have double din decks that will fit and with an adaptor kit will also make steering wheel controls etc work. I am not sure if the factory nav unit has...
