    well my Tahoe was totaled last month. the other driver made an unprotected left turn across me BAM! combined speed was probably close to 60-mph. whole front end shifted right about a foot+ (pic is from what should be a straight on shot), 2 front and all 6 side curtain airbags blew, nobody hurt...

    a familiar feeling when i went from my '85 burb to the nnbs hoe. your old tahoe still looks to be in great shape good luck with the new ride. i do wish they would bring that forest green color back to the suv's. the new pickups look great in that color.

    Can I go to a 285/70/17?

    coworker put 285/70/17 on his tahoe with 2" front kit. there is a 2"x2" contact spot where the tire rubs the front of this fender liners I have seen a Z71 with 285/65/18 (about the same size) w/out a leveling kit, looked like there was quite a bit of rubbin' going on. (crappy pics)

    i have read and heard that its main purpose is to smooth the air flow from the intake into the engine. at the risk of sounding like an idiot, when a cylinder intake valve closes you have a moving slug of intake air bouncing around while others cylinder valves are trying to open causing high/low...

    rub w/ leveling kit, maybe, but most likely just need some very minor plastic trimming, probably not with the 3.5" if you have 4wd i wouldn't go any bigger than a 2.5" level up front, if you want 3.5" i would go straight to the suspension lift anyway as far as looks go, that's really your call...
