    If you are not mechanically inclined, I would stay away from the whipple. Like Bro said "With a few changes to my whipple" 1. Their fuel management sucks and has to be deleted and tuned to get it running properly. 2. They generate alot of heat. Just my 2 cents.

    That cam is fairly wild 239/243 @.050, but it's your dollar. You would need a 3500-4k converter with it. I still recommend the EPP FI cam w/a 3200 converter. Did you ever find out your gear ratio?

    Since you have to stay smog... I would go with a corvette z06 cam and springs (you will need new longer pushrods too) then save for a turbo or supercharger kit. The z06 will give you a nice boost over stock and it is a proven cam for FI.
