Thanks for all the input and advice guys! Ended up getting the transfer case buttons swapped out, left it for about a day or two (kept getting the message for service) and now it’s fixed and been solid for about 1 1/2 weeks. I was getting a U1301 code when I scanned them last too.

Hello, trying to chase down a service 4wd message rn. Recently swapped the TC due to it having holes in the casing from rubbing through, then came back home (I do my own work in my hometown and am not living there rn) where I got put into limp mode on my trans, so o took it to a shop because I...

    Recommendations for new transfer case?

Hey everybody! Shopping for a new NP246 right now. Already learned the hard way the little differences after not doing enough research, and considered rebuilding already, but was thinking just with how long it’s been w/o fluid (p/o used lock tite of drain/fill plugs and not even a torch helped...

    Ac/heat stopped blowing [FIXED]

Just wanted to make a post to help anyone get a straight answer quicker than I did. Woke up (first snowfall of the year of course) and my Ac/Heat wouldn’t blow any air at all anymore. Blower Motor Resistor seemed like the quickest fix to try to get it back, as I had a roadtrip. When buying a new...

    Steering box

Haven’t tried it yet but tbh this sounds like it’s probably my issue lol. I’ll give this a try next time I have access to a jack.

Curious about the Melling pickup tube brace, I see it says won’t fit oem welded pickup tubes or something but I cannot seem to figure out what would be in my Yukon from factory. Is this just kinda a buy it and figure it out once your in there kinda thing?

    Steering box

Fluid has been checked, never gets too low, but does probably need a flush, pretty dirty. Idler arm and bracket have been swapped already too but I will check on 2,3 and 4 tomorrow when I’m off. If it were the O rings on the steering box would that be easier? Thought I read you pretty much need...

    Steering box

Hey everyone, I made a post a while ago about my 03’ Yukon getting stolen and the steering being horrid after getting it back. Since then I’ve done inner and outer tie rods, pitman arm, idler arm and bracket and it’s now drivable, but still getting a little sketchy going over bumps at decent...

    Steering not returning to center?

Definitely hit minimum 4 curbs with how wack it was once received. I had just gotten it aligned maybe 2 weeks before the theft too. He pushed the lock into the door and screwdriver to the ignition. TBH for how ****** he obviously is… did it decently clean and didn’t destroy too much. One shop...

    Steering not returning to center?

Hello! My 2003 SLT Yukon got stolen a week ago and I luckily got it back without too much damage, just front end out of wack mainly. Ended up changing out the Pitman Arm and Idler Arm, after having a shop take a look, drove straighter but still felt boat-like, steering won’t return to center...
