    If I remember correctly the "hat" / plate component of the assembly was thoroughly rusted to the top of the shock where that large bolt goes on. This was 6 years ago now so I'm a little fuzzy on what exactly was wrong. I remember looking for a replacement piece sold separately but couldn't find one.

    I think I can get this squared away from a sealing perspective but I'm concerned that the two holes that go through the plastic to allow the air through may be hosed up in some way.
