The motor was officially blown, so I sold her! didn't get much at all and I had to watch her get towed away from my house. My garage is now empty.
Five years of good memories, an arm that still aches every day, and that place in every mans heart that is filled, and than left empty by his...
The pressure is dropping. Its clicking and knocking like an SOB too when the pressure drops. If I get it up to speed, the pressure will go back up, but probably still a little low.
I recently changed the oil (about 1000 miles ago) and it started to I changed the oil again. The pressure...
My wifes 04 tahoe failed Emissions today... the report says "OBD Connector Integrity Fail" & I think Malfunction Indicator light Status No Voltage:Fail
Also - Your Vehicle reported no voltage at the data link connector
Thoughts?
where is a good place to start? Truck is rocking low oil pressure... changed oil a few weeks ago, have put about 1000 miles on that oil change. Still has the proper amount of oil according to my measurements.
So I am doing it... the lowering kit is coming off. I am tired of paying to have my truck aligned all the time and burning through tires. So instead of bringing it to stock, I am going to put a leveling kit on her. It is a Z71 afterall.
Now for the problem... The Modified C-Clamp that I used...
i am thinking about taking my kit off my truck and selling it. Couple problems, I don't remember what I paid for it or what it might be worth. Keys, coils, and rear drop shackles.
any thoughts? probably going to take it off this weekend and put it on craigs list.
So I recently bought a 98 civic to save on gas to and from work. I still have the hoe, but its to expensive on gas.
I changed the oil this weekend in the civic and used all the cheapest shit, long story short... The seal on the oil filter broke while I was driving and let all the oil out of...
Ok, I have another thread up that got very little action... hopefully this will do better.
My truck has a horrible clicking (knocking?) from the motor. Sounds like the top of the motor, driver side. It was very loud a while back but after I changed the oil it went away. Its been about 3000...
My truck's pushing several codes right now... the engine light comes and goes, but the reader I used showed all the new and old codes... several MAF codes and several different fuel delivery codes.
Also, the motor is ticking from the driver side... sounds like a stickey valve or something...
My truck was pushing a few MAF codes... I am not overly educated on what goes wrong with a MAF and if it is fixable. should I just go ahead and buy a new one?
I purchased a set of drop spindles for my tahoe, never got around to installing them and it doesn't look like I will get around to it any time soon... like probably never! hahaha So they are brand new. I will try to get some pictures up later...
These are the 2" drop spindles that use all...
So I installed rear shock extenders and Bilsteins on the rear...
Installed bilsteins on the front...
Truck still rides rougher then I think it should....
I have heard people talk about how they have lowered their truck 2/3 and ever 3/5 and still have a nearly stock ride quality. Why...
Has anyone else ever ran into this problem???
The passenger side went in FAIRLY well (still was not a real great fit).
HOWEVER
The driver side is not in, and cannot possibly go in.... "WHY?"
The holes that are drilling into the extension do not line up with the original shock...

Just pulled my tires off for the first time in many months... HOLY SH*T BALLS
I am down to the belt on the inside of both front tires.
I am obviously lowered (little better then 2" in the front using keys). But I did have it balanced...
Was I nieve to think that the camber...
This morning I fired my truck up and it stalled out... fired her up again and she idled like sh*t and I had to keep feathering the gas. Engine light fired up and stayed on the entire way to work. At every stop light she would idle like a hog and I had to keep floating the gas to keep her even...
When my truck shifts gear, it clunks like a mother! its getting worse, I think its the u-joints but I wanted to get the opinion of the forum.
as a side note, I seem to be getting less power too, but then again I might just be used to it by now.
Anyone who wants an official on field jersey, brand new with tags, let me know. Ive got almost every player (worth a shit) from every team. Home and away, all standard sizes (sorry miniture people and 800 pounders). All stiched, 100% titties.
$50 + shipping
hey guys, been a while... busier and busier these days
Anyways... I love my truck lowered... but I think I might like it better lifted (being a z71 and all). However, I know nothing about lifted trucks.
What type of parts am I looking for? What size tire would I need? I certainly do NOT...
My girlfriends truck is doing something wierd all of a sudden. She has an 04 tahoe All Wheel Drive. All of a sudden the AWD light (which is usually yellew) is turning red and staying in the neutral position. It has happened twice now.
Side Note - truck seems to sound different
Side Note 2...
As many of you know, I dropped my truck using rear coils and front keys.. 2/3 drop
Very soon I am buying rear relocation hardware and shock extenders as well as 4 new shocks.
I am thinking about replacing my drop keys with spindles... is it worth the money?
