Well guys I think I must be bad luck. I received a Traverse Loaner while I am trying to figure out what to do with my Tahoe that has had to be towed twice, and tonight I ran to a local store and when I went back to the car it would not start. It only has around 10,000 miles but it sounded like...
Hey all-I wanted to bump this question I asked earlier. My local dealer is trying to work with me on a reasonable trade in offer. We do want leather and a 2nd row bench like we have in our current faulty LT trim model. However, there are hardly any LTs with a bench seat within 500 miles...
Thanks everyone for the input. I spoke with the general manager of the regional automotive group and he is going to work tomorrow on trying to come up with a better deal to make it right. I am hopeful that we can come to terms so I do not have to go down the legal path though I am prepared and...
I had 2 straight 2nd Gen Toyotas then they screwed up the 3rd gen by getting rid of the V8 and making the cargo and 3rd row useless. That is what drew me to the Tahoe and ultimately decide to purchase it.
Yes I have called GM and worked with an adviser. I am now going to pursue the buyback option as I think it's crazy to have the engine go out, the radiator had to be replaced and most recently the brakes and steering went out. I am hopeful I have a case to get a buyback. Does anyone know how...
Thank you Miami Dade! I am in a difficult situation having new expenses with a son at college and just trying to figure out the best navigate this situation. There is so much I love about driving the Tahoe that I wish the dealer or GM would make a reasonable offer.
Agree and SUVs depreciate the most in the first 2 years which is why I never trade in within that timeframe. I typically keep my vehicles 5 to 8 years.
The parking lot had been cleared so it was not slick thankfully.
Thanks for your kind words. My current Tahoe LT has 23,000 miles on it and they are only giving me $50K for a trade and want me to pay 70K for a 2026 Tahoe with the same exact specs as my 2024 Tahoe. I think it's ridiculous for them to expect me to pay an additional $20K after I just spent...
The dealer indicated there was a battery discharge issue but they don't know what caused it. I have all the diagnosis codes as I called On Star and they ran an immediate report so there really were errors despite what a silly poster claims did not happen. Its really sad that someone comes here...
Dude-I am not looking for some speculative analysis. At the end of the day, my Tahoe in the middle of a winter storm was not braking and steering as its supposed to and the dealer indicated they have no idea what could have caused that to happen. I have had the entire engine go out and...
All I know is that I pushed the brake down all the way and the car did not stop. I did not try to pump the brakes but can confirm the brake was pushed all the way down and the car was still moving forward. Also, it was snowy/icy out the day too which is why I am thankful I was not on a main...
So the diagnosis of the issue is that the battery discharged which caused multiple electrical components to fail. I was at the gym and leaving the parking lot and was only going around 10 mph and when I pushed all the way down on the brakes it would not stop the car. It simply kept going...
Hi,
I am in need of some guidance of options available to me. I purchased my first ever GM product in January, 2024...a Tahoe LT. I currently have 23,000 miles on it and have had 2 catastrophic episodes where the Tahoe was not drivable and had to be towed away.
1. The first happened in...
Yes I did have them checked and they are already at a "4." The tech indicated that the Continentals on some Tahoes are softer tires that wear out quickly. I am planning to get the Michelin Defender LTX as a replacement.
I have a 2024 Tahoe LT with around 23,000 miles and noticed this past week making a turn on wet pavement that the car slid a bit. It was 50 degrees out and not icy. I assumed the factory tires might last to 30K to 35K miles but my local dealer said that the factory tires sometime do not make it...
I got a brand new Tahoe in January, 2024, and in November I had a catastrophic engine event with the 5.3L. I got stalled with a child in the middle of a busy intersection and it took a month for them to get my engine replaced. The service tech believes the fuel management system broke down...
Thanks for the update. They said the repair was under warranty so I am not going to complain about that...just seems odd. I do take my SUV through an automatic car wash often...perhaps something in there could have hit the radiator?
I wanted to provide an update on what the diagnosis was with my Tahoe. I took it into the dealership yesterday and they said there was a hole in the radiator. I asked what could have caused it and they said if debris in the road hits it just right it could cause a hole and leak. Has anyone...
The fuel supply component was failing and starved the engine of fuel. They put the new engine in first and it was still making some vibrating noises which made them confident it was the fuel supply component (not sure the proper term). Thus they replaced that component too. Now before the...
Thanks. I am not super handy so will want to take it somewhere. Do you think it's safe to drive today and wait until Monday or this week to get it taken care of?
