Did you perform or have it done at a shop? At what mileage was it deleted and what was the associated cost?
I purchased a disabler a couple days after purchase at 38k but after two trips from FL to CA and another to OH last year, the thought is constantly nagging me even though it has a 100k...
Ah yes, more Harbor Freight purchases. 3 different sizes came in the kit and I chose the 1/4" NPT for use with a 3/8's hose...similar to the stock setup to ensure proper vacuum pressure.
Good link JIC you haven't watched any yet:
tap/die set...
Yeah, I ran into the same problem and bought an Airaid at American Trucks. Pricey indeed, but purchased from them for various reasons (mil discount and had a credit balance).
Purchased a tap/die set from Harbor Freight and attempted to perform in a vice...bad decision. Watched a couple how-to...
NOTE- since I'm using a catch-can and didn't want to disturb those hoses, I had to figure out a separate vacuum source. Let me tell ya, the MIT port (before the throttle body) ain't it! Almost cruised right through a stop light as the 'power' in power brakes wasn't there. Ended up buying/tapping...
Everything above and a couple not mentioned previously:
Vacuum pump delete- more prevalent in the earlier years, but there was a TSB (recall?) issued to replace them. For me, the idea of the chineasm piece self-destructing and sending shrapnel into the engine was enough to warrant the delete...
You mentioned the purchase mileage but not current mileage.
I have read about motor mount replacements so you may want to verify that those are intact.
Honestly, not sure if I'm going to lower it but either way, as I get older, I'm more about function over fashion. At 6'3" I can pretty much slide in but still use the step to exit. Lower it 2" and I'll be golden...easy entry/exit. May be enough to remove the running boards...? Well, that's until...
Not to derail your thread, but could you tell me why you went with Whipple? I'm on the fence about the Whipple vs Magnuson and trying to ask the questions before making a decision.
Based on this thread I purchased a set of these wheels this morning.
Still trying to decide on tires; 275/65 (32") or 285/60 (31.5"). Would like to stay as close to the currently installed 305/45-22 (32.8") section/tread widths with an SL rating...no need for XL, D, or E Load ratings. Currently...
Do you know where the card is located? I've read that it can be in different places on differing trim levels. Mine was just above the glovebox door...very accessible and easy to remove.
I'm relatively close to you and wondered if you ever took the leap and had the AFM delete performed? If so, are you happy and recommend a local shop?
Drove to Cali twice & Ohio once in the past year and have done everything I know of to eliminate a potential issue...still cannot stand this...
Don't have any leaks yet on my 2020 w/62k, but can only assume that it won't be long before issues arise. Visited Monroe's website and it looks like $600 gets a complete active to passive setup that keeps the electronic suspension light off...just wondering if anyone has done this yet with...
Not sure if you ever pursued but noticed this and thought I'd provide some feedback even though it's an older post.
I cannot stand a raked-stance and was the second mod performed after Range Pulsar LT AFM delete.
Used MaxTrac reverse leveling kit for vehicles with AutoRide and couldn't be...
