Yeah, it was a tough/expensive lesson to learn. You would think the transmission shop would
replace the seal regardless of how it looked.
My thoughts are to give others here on the forum a heads up and hopefully keep them from
loosing time and money as well as a lot of aggravation.
We have a 2013 Tahoe LT with 5.3 liter. Transmission started slipping last November so we took it to a recommended transmission shop. They
actually did a nice job with the rebuild and now shifts great. The unfortunate thing that happened was a rear main seal leak that started about
two weeks or...
Well, another year and here is the latest on this thread. The sensor went in fine
and no codes or anything on dash. Thank you Lord this issue now fixed.
The rebuilt tranny drives like a dream....took a thousand mile road trip up
to northern Cal. After getting back and changing motor oil last...
Latest update: brake lights working after installing new bulbs. Oh yeah!
Got sensor a few days ago...ready to put on but waiting on Tahoe because

Thanks for your reply...

I wanted to ask if anybody has had to replace a ground wire (3 pin) switch that attaches to the trailer
harness. There are four, each equally spaced out on rear Tahoe plastic bumper cover. They look like
small...

arm (shown in first photo at top) and drilling a small hole in the end where the cable arm attaches. There is a small
area, looks like a nipple or zirk fitting, that I drilled then...
Happy Mother's Day to everyone on the forum. Wishing all the best to you and your mothers.
My wife just bought a used 2013 Tahoe with 112k miles. Rear wheel drive with 5.3 motor.
We live in So. Cali. I will try and figure out how to upload photos in the future for everyone.
That's it for now...
