Reduced engine power no DTC code

Thought about getting black bear to check it out but that is a decent amount of money just to throw at it

Reduced engine power no DTC code

Using my little scanner/reader there is several pedal position, throttle position, and similar parameters that I can view. Any thoughts on what I should look at and how much variance there can be. I've looked at those several times and I too think that is the place to start. I know the guys...

Reduced engine power no DTC code

I can drive the vehicle and do daily and have gotten used to it. I can drive it to where it will not go into limp mode unless I want to make it happen or I forget and decide I'm gonna pull out in front of traffic fast like and yeah it's goes to reduced engine power. Never does it when I'm not...

Reduced engine power no DTC code

I've used my smaller obd reader that does identify the vin and I've also use a snap on from where I work and it definitely has way more options. It's bi directional and scans things I didn't know could even be scanned..... Not sure about the manufacturer specific software but the snap on model I...

I wouldn't think so, I get misfire code when I've burnt a plug wire, so that worked

Reduced engine power no DTC code

I know it's been awhile, but still have the same issue. Yes, it says reduced engine power on the dash, and traction control and stability lights come on. Still no codes to be found.

So here's the deal, I have a 2012 Yukon Denali. It has had a lifter and cam swap, head studs, and long tube headers. I bought it like that and don't know the owner that done the mods. I bought it from a friend of mine that owns a used auto lot and he had the issue looked at by several garages...

Feds to roll back Start/Stop Technology

I think it's stupid too. Yes fuel injection won as it should have. It's a performance upgrade in typical daily drivers of today. I don't see where ass is gonna help performance. Mileage, maybe. I also hate tire pressure sensors but guess we're stuck with that too

Looking to buy 2013 yukon denali

Update..... the 12 model that my boss has, no idea of who or how long ago the swap was done or how it may have been driven since. As for the 13 model. I went to test drive it Saturday and as I parked my truck the salesman backed it out of its spot and I didn't even drive it because it was...

Looking to buy 2013 yukon denali

Hello, I'm looking at a 2013 yukon with the 6.2 engine. I have recently test drove a 2012 yukon denali, for several weeks, that belongs to my boss. He owns a used car sales. The 12 model has the afm deleted with long tube headers, head studs, and what seems like aftermarket cam. It runs good...

    Reduced engine power without cel

UPDATE!!! I still have the same issue but I have discovered that when I go into "reduced engine power" that it is throwing a ABS code- c0242-00. I've done some research and seems everybody that's had that code had a totally different cause of it...... can anyone tell me if the c0242 is the...

    Reduced engine power without cel

I've looked at it and watched it on live data and the % don't match perfectly but they do change in relation to one another together. Any idea how much they can differ and still be normal?

    Reduced engine power without cel

Well.... still have my rep issue. Replac ed throttle body this eve, it does idle better and seems more responsive but still goes into reduced engine power without a check engine light or dtc . The ONLY time it does it is when I'm sitting still and go on the gas hard. Sometimes I can even be in...

I'm not sure what I'm looking for, what would be a sign of vacuum leak?

    Reduced engine power without cel

I cleaned the throttle body when I replaced the tps, I checked the wires at the plug but will check then further away from the tps.

    Reduced engine power without cel

I've been thinking throttle body but you know how throwing money at a problem is......I can make the "rep" happen sometimes with it still in park by just blipping the throttle and it seems to me like it takes too long to idle down after it's been rev'd up. Like maybe the throttle body is too...

What should the numbers be? Do this at idle or try to see what they are when it goes into reduced power? I normally work on all my vehicles and I know what long and short fuel trim is, but I don't really know much about using scan tool other than the typical check codes stuff
