    Oil level sensor connector

    Replaced engine in my 2007 GMC Yukon. Wiring harness has a connector for where the old oil pan had a oil level sensor, new engine does not have that sensor. It's causing my computer to read Low oil, Add oil. Can I cut that connector off and splice the wires together so it will quit saying low oil?
