Well I got my truck in Feb so I guess I have driven it a lot. When I got it, I REALLY did not like it, coming from my 2004 Tahoe, but after 4 months and 6K miles, I have learned to like some of the features and learned to ignore some of the things I don't like. Here are my impressions:
The...
It is likely due to inflation and demand that the 2023's will be close to $5k more for the same truck. Inflation never goes the other way, meaning new truck prices are never going to go down, but they will level off. That combined with the low production numbers of 2021-22 trucks will keep...
This procedure is for the 4l60e so I doubt it works for these high tech trucks. I am almost due for my first oil change so i am going to ask the dealer to do it.
And yes cevenson23 I have noticed the trans feels like its slipping when I give it light throttle and it does not have to be cold...
I experienced weird vibration at low vehicle and engine speed this morning on the way to school with my kids. almost like a flat tire. Is this a symptom? I'm around 2,300 miles now.
As you may have read elsewhere I have decided that this truck is not for me after 3 weeks and 1500 miles. Not a scratch or mark on it, and I bought a rear seat cover, roof bars and a cargo mat for it that go with it. I am looking for $73,000 which is slightly less than MSRP with the goodies...
Thanks for the replies. There are a number of lower mileage ones out there you just need to look around. I would gladly get into a '99 or '05-06 if I could figure out how.
I talked to the dealer and there is nothing they can do to take it back in a way that would credit me the $5K of sales...
Yes that’s why I was willing to pull the trigger without ever being inside one. I felt it was low risk. Between myself and my folks have have every at least one of every gen from the GMT400 so I know what I like and what I don’t.
I miss my 2004 badly. I got this mainly because I’m getting...
I have had my 2022 suburban rst 6.2 for 3 weeks and 1400 miles It’s very nice and I want to like this truck but then I drove my ‘98 today for the first time since I got it and now I have a problem.
I can’t really deal with the way the computer and the transmission interface, primarily. When I...
It's the idea of hitting the "L" button on your gear selector and then putting the "+" button until you get to 9, which locks the trans out of overdrive.
I am going to go look at disabling it now in the settings and will let you know.
On the topic of brakes, what kind of brakes do these trucks have? The module under the hood is so complex I cannot figure out what I am looking at.
Thanks!
I like my new ‘22 burb rst 6.2 a lot. But I don’t like this trans. I feel as if it slips in a minor way under medium acceleration, but what I really don’t like is the way it holds rpms/pressure. Going downhill I find myself constantly pressig the “N” button because it’s holding the revs at...
I put a tank of 87 in mind when I first got it and I could hear the knocks and the gas milage was notably worse. That was the end of that. Now I just shop around for gas since I have a 400 mile range on a full tank it’s not that hard.
Today on a long (2.5 hour drive) I stopped at a rest stop and when I pulled out the screen said "loading" or something similar briefly and then went dark. Had the radio on AM and could not change station or volume. After 20 min I pulled over, turned the truck off, opened the door and then...
If my 2022 6.2 has DFM, I never even knew. I found it atrocious on my parents' 2010 LTZ and my ex's 2015 LT. I still feel blissfully ignorant because I can't even tell its there.
I seriously thought about getting a Kia, and then I realized how dumb of an idea that was.
Did 3-4 hours in the truck today and I am into the seats in my RST. They are not overly sporty with high side bolsters or too narrow like my ex's 2015 LT.
Oke thing I would mention is the tach is on the wrong side (right ) on the digital display. Unlike any GM vehicle I have seen no idea why they did this.
Also I forgot to mention I did not keep the 2004. I sold it to the wrecker for $500 and a ride home from Scranton. I had a vision of saving the 5.3 and maybe swapping it into my ‘98 or putting it in an 18 donzi so my truck could live on some way but it wasn’t meant to be. It drove beautifully...
Thanks for the replies. Was hoping for a consensus but I think in the end it’s going to bug me and I am going to contact GM. The dealer said I would be awarded a bunch of points under a new program that I could use on things like all weather floor mats etc. but that I had to download the...
Last week was a sad day when my 2004 Tahoe died (either trans or transfer case) at 235,755 miles on I-81 near Scranton. I had bought it brand new but it had terminal cancer and wasn't going to pass inspection, so back in October I ordered one of the first 2022's and it showed up yesterday. RST...
Thanks for the laugh on this one. Not many great cars in the ‘70’s but GM invented electronic ignition/HEI which allowed the cars to run on unleaded while being choked out. Many mopars of this time hardly ran at all.
Does anyone know if this affects the LS3 in my 2016 ss? I assume no because...
I ordered one too last month. I don’t really care when it comes because I was not excited about getting a new truck until the 6.2 rst became available.
I’ll take the under on 12 weeks if anyone wants to play. It’s my belief that ordering lots of useles options that require microchips will...
Long time no post by me. The time to replace my 2004 Tahoe has finally come. Last week I ordered a Suburban RST with only two options, the 6.2 and a sunroof. This results in having to get the package that includes the magnetic suspension and the dual exhaust, which is fine by me. Paid MSRP +...
