New water pump and fan clutch? SOLVED

At 309k miles I am ready for my 3rd water pump. The bearings are loud I thought it was my alternator so I change that, apparently those bearings were all so trashed so its not as loud, but i can tell by spinning water pump pulley by hand those bearings are also on their way out. Since the fan...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yes, my dust shields are 100% gone.LOL. OK, I will do both seals and both bearings and both shields. There are so many bearing sizes on Rock Auto with slight variations past the tenth decimal point. I Im going with matching Timken seal and bearing since I know they're made in USA. $109...

Since replacing the wheel seal involves playing with the rear differential. Should I just do wheel bearings and wheel seals on both sides? And be done with it especially since I have 302000 miles original bearings?

My Yukon loves to eat rear rotors. New pads and rotors from NAPA (proformer with painted hats and Proformer ceramic pads. Not bad for $200. As usual, a frozen caliper slide pin is the cause. cleaned and relubed, good as new. Also my driver's rear parking brake was SOAKED in gear oil. Yay...

A couple months ago installed some $40 LED headlight bulbs from Amazon. They sucked donkey balls, they were bright but it was like 2 little spot lights shining in front of me. Then I tried some Hella halogen 2.0 bulbs replace the LEDs, those were like using actual f****** candles, worse than my...

No oil pressure at start up, 2001 Tahoe

There is no need to replace the oil pickup tube. Just the O-ring is needed that's only like $7, including other costs like oil pan gasket and RTV sealer. So shops want to replace the pickup tube too or is that just what GM likes to do?

Thanks for the replies. Is there a thread that talks about the T1 and K2 differences. This is new terminology to me. This was informative but I dont know what a K2 is, lol. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/from-a-nnbs-to-a-nbs-to-a-k2-comparison-in-driving-and-quirks.129349/

I'm looking at a 2016 Suburban LS with 5.3, cloth, Max trailer package, smooth ride air shocks, 20" wheels with 61k miles. Dealer wants $39k. I test drove it today, first time in this model year. I've driven a rental 2008 Tahoe, and this is more powerful. Smooth with positive feeling shifts...

How often should the air ride compressor be going off?

I bet the airbag shocks are shot. Get some new ones from Arnott. Been working great on mine. Pump only turns on a few seconds in the morning, maybe 5 sec on a cold day. I also replaced the pump with a plug and play Dorman pump. Like somealse said, valve might be shot. Easier to replace the...

I have the regular air leveling shocks with the fooler plug (AS-2700). I think the resistor in the fooler stopped working in those or the ebay foolers I bought for the front when I put in Bilstein 4600 since I now have the Check Ride Suspension message. It doesnt bother me though. I just...

    Body Mounts?

I think My body mounts have seen better days. There's a small clunk where this on is located when going up my driveway at an angle and pulling out from my street little faster than normal. Double checked all control arm bolts and all control arms new this year. Im guess they're not supposed to...

    2006 Esky - Z55 Shocks - Opinions

I have Z55 and the Arnott air shocks and a dorman pump. I just installed some rear spings since the rear would lower if i sat in the bumper. They're Moog 81071. They ride perfect. A tiny bit more firm and much less boaty . Same ride height, maybe 1 to 0.5" higher than springs with 290k miles...

    Heavy duty rear shocks

Last night I installed the Moog 81071 springs on my Z55 Yukon (Arnott air shocks and Bilstein 4600 front) Easy, disconnected an air line to a shock, removed lower shock bolts, removed upper sway bar link bolts. Jack up one side the spring just falls out. Isolators were surprisingly in good...
