I got almost 50k out of the BFGs and I'm at 30k with the Michelins with good tread left. This is on a 2017 Ram that gets driven hard every day.

I had KO2s on my work truck and loved them. I now have the Michelin defenders and they're nice too, great highway ride and quiet. I prefer the KO2s personally, I didn't see any significant mileage improvement with the Michelins. Keep in mind however the county pays for the fuel so I really don't...
Which begs the question, can 07-11 be flashed with 12+ software to gain sway control and the other upgrades, either dealer or aftermarket (BB, HPTuner, etc)?
My Amazon one unscrews at the bottom for draining/cleaning. The “dipstick” is handy I guess but I don’t accumulate enough between oil changes to worry about it. Fittings are ok, hose was garbage.

Crap pic but Amazon el cheapo and $5 of hose from Napa. I made a bracket to bolt it to the alternator bracket.
My 6.0 had 220k of blowby buildup in the intake and had a constant rough idle. Cleaning the upper intake and adding a catch can cleared it up 100%. They work and don’t have to be...
Please explain to me how Manual mode keeps from blowing the trans on an uphill. The trans will downshift if necessary no matter what gear is selected. If he was in M5 it will shift to 4th if needed without him doing it. All M does it keep it from shifting up past your selection.
Or am I...
Agreed. The auto climate control in the Suburban won't spin up the blower for a few seconds after startup, unlike leaving the manual knobs cranked and the electrical load hitting the alternator immediately.
Do you NEED anything heavier duty than stock? Probably not. If you’re going to spend the money, why not upgrade?
BrakeMotive on eBay, right around $100 per axle for ceramic pads and drilled/slotted rotors. They send “House Label” pads but they are unlabeled PowerStop.
I pulled my Jeep...
Sorry I mistyped. The RF is the bad sensor. All the others in proper sequence will cause the horn to honk. I’ll order a new sensor I suppose and try again.
I’m having issues with my sensors as well. They had been reading fine, randomly the RR sensor quit. I rotated the tires and bought the TPMS tool from amazon. Using the relearn procedure all but the LF sensor caused the horn to honk. This is the sensor that was rotated from RR. I get that the...
I was in the same quandary last year, ended up taking the high road and finding a 2500 so I have the extra safety margin. They are out there, Asia Motors on eBay sells ex-.gov 2500s all the time or you can get lucky like I did (if you’re willing to travel) and find a nice loaded out LT.

I did rear brakes and the driver side axle seal over the last couple days. Figured out a easy way to get the top caliper T55 slide bolt out without using cussing GM. Took the bottom bracket bolt out and swung the caliper up, which gave me clearance for a T55 socket. If you have ever done rear...
I have had good luck putting spark plug non-foulers in line before the sensors as well. The gap created by the non-fouler makes the sensor read cleaner air and not trip the CEL.
Regarding the cat delete; I did that to my 00 XL 6.0. Definitely made the exhaust note louder, but it also created a drone at cruising speed. The odor out of the tailpipe was annoying but not terrible.
I also have a recurring aka permanent 0430 code. Replaced the B2S2 and the time between...
Got this a few weeks back, but forgot to snap a pic. I got tired of looking at the cracked dash so I carpeted it. I had a big crack at the passenger airbag and a lot of little ones behind the gauge cluster.
I think it looks much better, the wife isn’t as convinced...
For what it’s worth I ran the same drilled/slotted rotors and pads on my 00 XL 2500 for close to 4 years with no warping, cracking and no appreciable pad wear. That included heavy towing and a marathon cross country trip over the mountains with a trailer.
Plus they look cool [emoji2]
Nothing...
I have been chasing a recurring CEL for catalyst deficiency on the Suburban; P0430. I figured I would try a $20 O2 sensor before I dropped big money on a converter. Turns out the offending sensor (B2S2) was hand tight, likely had something to do with it.
The whole job was done in 5 minutes, we...
