    Has anyone installed a truetrac them self? I am debating on getting a truetrac before my G80 with 242K on it goes out and takes something else with it. I do most of the work on my cars and am not afraid to tackle something new but I know little about differentials.

    Mine was burning a few quarts between oil changes and I changed the PCV valve as well with no effect. I do have 236K on the clock but only 60K since a rebuild and it has always run royal purple. I did switch to 10w30 the last oil change and that seems to have made a big difference. May go up...

    My research has also suggested these engines drink oil. My 03 with 230K uses at least a quart every 2K miles. That's running royal purple. I also have never noticed any smoke which I am glad about but seems odd.

    03 Tahoe heated seat broke.

    Most likely the heating element. My drivers side was turning itself off after only moments of being on. I ended up replacing both of the heating elements in the drivers seat and now it works great. You can inspect the elements and see what they look like. Both of mine had large burned areas.
