5.3 2004 tahoe engine
LOL ... to expand. :) The clearances on these motors are "apparently" really tight! Hence the 5-30 oils! Don't know where I read it but an article a long time on oil viscosity. If the tolerances are really tight a heavy oil can't flow between the crank bearings and the crank, heat builds up on...- Chip18

Having serious brake issues...
Don't overlook the "obvious" all bleeder valves need to be on top! I did it the other way many years ago. Finally took it to a shop ... yeah I was embarrassed! I only mention it because apparently someone on another forum ... just did the samething! :) And I have always used one of these guys...- Chip18

I think your thinking of "MacPherson Struts??" These are shocks so no coil spring compressor need. :) But these days ... "YouTube" is your freind. : Just something I grabbed. :)- Chip18

Hmm ... "Check Book" modding can get "Expensive" quick and you can find yourself struggling to get back to where you were ... if things don't work out so well. :) :eek: Big wheel and tires with short stiff sidewalls ... yeah it's gonna ride hard ... but from what you describe ... that does not...- Chip18

6.0 what grade fuel
`````````````Near as I can tell "American V8's" do seem to have a low octane and a high octane tuning map built in?? I had a friend with a built 5.0 Mustang and Nitrous ... 500 hp and he ran it on 87 octane??? Most 4 cylinder imports .. you tune for either 87 0ctane ... no one does that or...- Chip18

New to the game! I'm mostly a Canyon Carver "import guy!" Everything I own has been "Dropped" and modded for the Canyons. :) But I've been a Chevy fan since high school! Forty years ago ...
