    Not sure about the HD, but I run a 50 series and I like it. It is quieter than the 40 series, a buddy of mine runs the 40 on his Ram with a 318 and it has an annoying drone. 50 series is still aggressive sounding but not bothersome.

    Just did this on my '97. I pulled out a lot of pine needles, dirt, hair, and small leaves and other crap. However, after I got it all back together the AC and fan blew just the same as before, no difference... :think:

    Yup, just a fun factor really, if you want your truck to be louder when you romp it. Hence it being called an "air silencer". Very simple mod, take off the box, put on a 2'' rubber cap that you can buy at any hardware store and clamp it down, and its done.

    Actually in Idaho they don't use rock salt on the roads, not sure why everyone thinks that... Here it is sand and small amounts of magnesium chloride which is much less corrosive than sodium chloride and sodium based de-icers. My 'hoe has been in ID its whole life and it has no rust on the body...

    new Exhaust goin in saturday!

    I have one on mine. It works great and the tone is just what I wanted, not too loud and quieter than the 40 series, without the annoying drone. Install is pretty simple, cut out the stock stuff and bolt up the new. Performance wise I haven't noticed too much of a difference from stock.
