2WD or AUTO for better MPG?

Always use 2wd unless it is bad weather. Actually I never use the Auto in any of the 3 Tahoes I have owened. I use 2wd or 4wd when needed, auto was only for when my wife was driving in bad weather and I was afraid she would forget to switch back to 2wd. My ex once left my older tahoe in Auto...

    5.3 v4 mode

I think I ended up averaging about 1/2 MPG better over the long run from factory. But given I have 253K miles on it and started playing with it at about 25k the HP tuners has paid for itself.

Service Stability track and traction control

If your brake lights are stuck on at that time it is the brake switch under the dash or in my case after a massive hit by someone that totaled mine that I am still driving it broke a small wire going to the brake switch that I had to find.

    5.3 v4 mode

I have HP Tuners and have reprogrammed my 2010 to run as a 4cyl longer since about a year after getting it. On mine the cam phasing in 4 cyl mode was all for economy, I changed it to power so it could run in 4cyl more. I also played with the timing, no expert was just tracking it and recording...

    2nd time Lifter Failure... 2021 Yukon AT4

I was just about to post to ask "has anyone had a recurring issue" since mine have been replaced once already. Going to take a road trip starting next weekend and probably will take my 250K mile 2010 Tahoe that has never had an engine issue.

Yukon Fuel Economy without Auto Start/Stop

Maybe in nice weather when you have the windows down and the a/c off. It is summer time in Texas and mine doesn't shut off at all now that it is 90+ degrees out.

    The Just 2021's Pictures Thread

This was somewhere in New mexico around New Years Trying out the highest lift setting for the first time. Sadly when it did snow in Texas it had the lifter issue and the engine was apart so had to rely on my 2010 Tahoe that just keeps going to use in the snow at home.

No more wireless charging (for now?)

I have the wireless charging but I am the type that only charges my phone when I can charge to 100% so I have used the wireless charging 1 time on a road trip in 12K miles of owning it.

    Slight shuttering on acceleration

I know if I take it in, will be just another waste of time and they will say it is all good.

    Transmission/Shifting Won't work 2021 Yukon XL Denali

Curios on this one since Ford and GM use the same 10 speed assembled in the co-owned factory.

2021 Tahoe with 6k miles mine has already had a head off

Mine is at 10k miles now, got it December 1st. I got $4k off the sticker of $67.6k I wonder what they would offer me? If I could get $66k I would take it for sure since that would basically cost me $1.5k for 10k miles of driving. My brother is waiting on getting a Diesel RST Tahoe and his...

    Slight shuttering on acceleration

Mine when at part throttle you can feel a slight hesitation of and on at first I though it had to do with the cylinder deactivation but it should be in V8 mode when this is happen, like when getting on the highway it just kind of pulsates ever so slightly. It is annoying, don't think my wife...

Nasty looking oil after 5200 miles of driving

My 2010 the oil looked like crap from the first change on and it is at 247k miles and never any engine issues. My 1970 Vette that I put a $1200 GM crate engine in it back in 1997 the oil always looks clean on the dipstick to this day. My 2004 Gallardo the oil looks like crap almost instantly...

Lifter issues - What Oil Did You Use?

Mined failed at 6000 miles, I changed my oil at 500 miles to Mobil 1 0w-20 as recommended, though I really don't like oil that thin but I don't think the oil had anything to do with it. I run thicker oil in my other cars 10w-40 and 15w-50.

2021 Tahoe with 6k miles mine has already had a head off

Yes that seems to be the standard way to do it. GM won't pay for all to be replaced just the failed ones.

2021 Tahoe with 6k miles mine has already had a head off

Met a guy last weekend with the same Tahoe as mine, gray Z71, he too had lifter issues at 9k miles. It seems to be an industry wide thing, even the aftermarket suppliers are getting the lifters from the same company.

Well found out that the 2021 will only idle for 30 minutes and then shuts off

I was in the back seat doing a meeting with computer on console I was hoping to push a button to stop the shutdown.

    Adaptive cruise

Can't get it on the z71 either and I really want it.

    Finally in my garage!!!

Nice. I drove about an hour away to get mine from a dealer that didn't require you to wear a mask.

Well found out that the 2021 will only idle for 30 minutes and then shuts off

I was in my tahoe at an event Monday and need to do a meeting in it on the computer and it was warm so had it on running the AC. It gives a warming about shutting off in 5 minutes on down but I don't know how to defeat it. Press ok didn't stop it from shutting off. Anyone know how to extend...

2021 Tahoe with 6k miles mine has already had a head off

Mine was in the shop for 3 weeks while they got parts. I mentioned to them that also the front parking sensors do not work anymore, every time I start it I see "clean parking sensor". Of course they didn't bother to fix it while it was there so I need to take it back again, maybe tomorrow...

    2021 Z71 air suspension error

Mine kept flashing "service leveling system" in the dash and the lift system was inoperable. Took it to the dealer and they downloaded some instructions and pulled a few fuses to reset it. That has been 2500 miles ago and it hasn't returned but they didn't actually fix anything so will see...

2021 Tahoe with 6k miles mine has already had a head off

Collapsed lifter and a bent pushrod. They took off the passenger side head to inspect, replaced the lifters. Not feeling really confident with this vehicle. I have a 2010 Tahoe i bought new with 242k miles and the only thing every replaced on the engine has been the spark plugs. My 2001...
