    With the hydro boost brakes work VERY well ! You can use one out of a Tahoe also.

    A vacuum booster is the big black canister that the master cylinder connects too.A hydro boost assisted brake unit is very small and has connections to the power steering pump and power steering box.

    Piston slap was common when cold with the earlier engines , and harmless too. The slap noise quiets down a bit when hot. Was the oil really dirty when it was drained ? These LS engines take lot's of abuse and neglect and keep on running.

    Is it possible that the clatter could be the injectors ? Won't be the first time that's been the culprit.

    Welcome ! I'd start with the basic's, putting a known good mechanical gauge on the engine. Then a good oil and filter change. How many miles are on the engine ?

    The resonation is one of the reasons that a Magnaflow isn't a good choice for a upgrade exhaust system. Little to no power increase is another reason. Did you feel any power loss with the Walker ?

    Good to go on the Amazon catch cans. The cheaper catch cans are what I'd go with. Just don't get a catch can with a vent on top.

    I'd get a good tune on it first. If that don't satisfy your itch ....... Magnacharger TVS supercharger , headers and a Corsa exhaust. That should put a smile on your face. Best of luck !

    It's a viscosity thing. Google it , there are plenty of You tube video's about it also. Main thing is , no worries the pressure swing is normal.

    20 hot 40 cold is fine. When you change the oil and filter use the proper weight oil (5w30).
