Went to the pick and pull to get a rear HVAC case and a few interior pieces and come back with way more then planned. Picked up some Denali center console pieces to redo, a brake controller harness, owners manual and some other odds and ends.
I've had this truck for about three years and the coolant system is the last major refresh I need to do. The water pump is about 4 years old from the Carfax records. All the hoses look and feel good but it might be time to go ahead and tackle this now.
Thanks, I'll have to look at it again. It's an 05, 6.0L with 123k. Is the cross over pipe that little one in the circle? I checked the oil, looks great with no milkiness.
For the last few months I've had to add a very tiny bit of coolant every couple of weeks so I knew I had something going on but I have not seen any drips. My wife had the big beast this week and parked in the garage and I saw some spots on the floor so I decided to dig into it. I found some wet...
Thank you! I found this search for a few hours last week. Great info. I'm going to head to the junk yard and see what I can find. I like to take things apart there first to see how hard the task is and practice before messing anything up on mine.
Is it possible to to get the door out and a new one in without taking full assembly apart? I have this same issue but dont have the means to work with any freon.
For the last six months or so, I had a small leak from the hydro boost. Pulled and replaced two gaskets. Test drove today and no leaks and the pedal feels just a little stiffer.
Not Tahoe or Yukon related, but I saw this today. I never knew they made this generation with no extended cab and a short bed. It looked ok but a little misproportioned.
It has been a while but recently took a 1600 mile round trip from NC to CT with the family. The Yukon didn't miss a beat and made what could have been an exhausting trip not too bad. The truck was effortless to drive, comfortable and the extra space for the kids really paid off. Anywho, today I...
I threw in new tie rods, inner and outer tonight. The hardest part was breaking the inner one loose. One thing that I thought was weird is that the passenger outer came off with 16 turns while the drivers side took 30. Is that normal or should they be closer? I was thinking they would be...
Refreshed the headlights and turns signals. They weren't terrible to begin with but they looks so much better now. It really makes a difference in how old the truck looks when they are cleaned up.
