    My Moog failed right after the 1 year warranty but my mechanic warrantied it anyways. He's a good guy. Bushings failed enough to see the movement (without trying hard) when brakes were applied in the driveway.

    Side Body Moulding Anchorage?

    I can guess why one of mine is lifting off or seeming to warp away from the body at the last 4" to 5". It had a professional accident repair a bit over a year ago and I am seeing that there is no tape in that area. I'm going to give it a try to get some in there if I can clean it up in place.

    Any suggestions on width for the body side moulding? It is significantly wider than the tapes I've come across. A couple narrow strips on edges or cover the whole contact area?

    Thanks for the input. Looking at the struts today it seems they run pretty good interference with the axles but now I have an idea what to expect. It looks like GM cv axles are at a tolerable price on RA. Aftermarket brand feedback doesn't give me confidence.

    Thanks, I don't know The Right Stuff but there is some Three Bond and Hylomar on the shelf. Edit: Saw The Right Stuff on Advance Auto Parts for $3.45 marked down from $34.99! Guess they are trying to move it.

    I have only had that happen once and there was no argument for the return. I can imagine it's in the hands of the facility that ships the particular parts and I suspect RA only arranges the deal, but I may be corrected on that. Thinking about it, that can happen anywhere, including buying locally.

    So back to the original issue but related question. Related, one of the seals at the axle stub out (hub?) at the passenger side end of front differential housing where the cv axle mates to it is slowly weeping differential fluid. Is that a tough replacement?

    BINGO! Floppy starter gear. Lucked out and thanks for the heads up. Went with a RA AC Delco Gold and it came in a AC Delco box and was marked accordingly with both AC Delco and GM part numbers.
