    IMO the best 0-3 inch lift strut is a bilstein 5100 with a lift block. The options in this area are limited to cheap lift struts or expensive coilovers. So if I had to choose between a rough country lifted strut or a bilstein 5100 with a 2 inch spacer.. I’m going with the bilsteins every time.

    2 Months ago I ordered a bunch of oil filters and guess what, I ordered 5 of the wrong oil filters again. I have this post and some documentation that both confirm the WIX 57045XP is the correct oil filter for my 08 tahoe but I still managed to buy 5 WRONG wix 51522XP filters almost 2 years...

    @B-train Do you bother changing the trans filter O gasket? I had a hard time and left some grooves in the trans block from it. If I need to do it again I need a better strategy other than hammering a flat head screwdriver until I can grab it with pliers

    And to potential “engineers know what they were doing” comments. the engineers also introduced AFM, they’ve had to make compromises in the past for better mpg so wouldn’t put it past them to use an inferior lubrication for the sake of mpg

    @SpareParts My concern was it flaking off but someone said that the paint is on the inlet side of the filter so any flaking would get caught in the filter so I guess it’s fine?

    @mikez71 One of mine was made in Korea and honestly it seemed to be better built than the USA one. BOTH are still running strong for what it’s worth.
