    Burnt Trans Fluid

Thinking back, I believe I had the thermostat bypass in the last time the fluid burnt. I am wondering if the pulse damper delete has anything to do with it. Also the weird thing I think the torque converter is doing is the 2 to 1 or the 3 to 1 not shifting at the right time.

    Burnt Trans Fluid

I don’t have a problem dropping the pan to drain it out, and fill. I did the flush last time and will do it again. I can’t remember if I had a thermostat delete in it last time it did something similar. I dropped the pan and deleted the dampers with an upgraded valve body bottom and add what I...

    Burnt Trans Fluid

2016 Yukon, 8L90, 6.2: I flushed the fluid 2200 miles ago, I drive 3.5 miles to work and 3.5 back twice a day ( bad I know ), engine does get up to temperature and the trans gets up to 125 degrees. I took a long trip, 4 hour drive one way and some serious mountain drive ( million dollar road )...

Chasing a battery drain on my 2500

Use the multimeter setting it to detect amps and hook it between the battery ( don't go over the AMPs for the meter) and the cable so you can see the draw of power and start pulling fuses until the draw stops. EDIT : SEE OTHER POST

    Desperate help/ only vehicle

Did you tried to stat it after you heard the knock, I with any luck it was a odd coincidence, but if the third rocker is loose then don't try running it.

    Dealer Service defensive measures.....

I love it if you have any questions about the work done the service writer is the one that answers, when he did nothing but paper work never looking under the hood, yet has answers.

PSA: Not all Chevy service is the same

Long story short, when I had the pan off doing a valve body upgrade (I did not have to lower the y pipe to pull the pan) changed the filter and refilled. I did not know about mixing trans fluids was a no no, yes I am a dumb arss, after that about 4000 miles later the trans fluid looked and...

When it happed to me i chained the thermostat and temp sensor, dis connected the battery while working on it. Short trips Yukon never got up to temp, ether a bad thermostat or temp sensor. Read some place that when the ECM goes into some sort of safety mode when temp readings are not what is...

PSA: Not all Chevy service is the same

I needed a fluid exchange (flush) not a service, just the wording is misleading, on the reseat stated service. I ended doing a fluid exchange (flush) my self witch I should have from the beginning.

PSA: Not all Chevy service is the same

In my area i made an appointment on line for a transmission fluid exchange, turns out it is a service (pan drop, filter and refill) but a brake fluid exchange seams to be just that. I will not bring them my Yukon ever again. My wife's Tahoe is still under warrantee so there's that.

Intermittent Burning Odor In Engine Bay

My 2016 Yukon 6.2 8l90 has the same thing most of the time driving aggressive, smells like burning rubber but not. I can't find a leak. Going to make sure my trans fluid is correct, I know it is a little over filled.

    6.2 Motor Mount Saver?

I was thinking of just restricting some of the twisting the motor mounts. Would have to be homemade. There are polyurethane motor mounts on the market, would like to think that they would hold up better...

    6.2 Motor Mount Saver?

Has anyone ever try an engine strap (Torque strap) to save motor mounts from breaking? Back in the day some sort of a strap or chain was used to help with the twisting torque.
