    6 CD Changer - Replacement? - SOLVED

DDG.AI says Delphi/Delco for standard units and Bose for upgraded units... "The GM‑branded 6‑disc CD changers used in 2004 Tahoes were supplied by Delphi (formerly Delphi Automotive / Delco Electronics) — Bose provided the premium-branded systems, while Delphi/Delco made the standard GM OEM...

Here's an idea, an expensive one, from left field. There are auto repair and restoration colleges in KS, and probably elsewhere. I'm sure donations of any portion of high quality tool collections would be appreciated. They may even be able/willing to pay; and there're tax deductions. joe

I've had great service from AVS too, on several vehicles. My personal preference is for the ones that stick to the door. I didn't like the style that goes in the window channel. They squeezed the channel too tight at the top, not allowing the windows to rise completely, causing some wind noise...

    Cruise control

This is from out in left field, but you never know. I was reading about a similar issue (intermittent failure of cruise control actuation and of the illumination in the steering wheel). There's a contact 'donut' in the steering column that affects these things. joe

Radiator makes engine run too cold

This goes back a way, but I've seen temp gages indicate low because the coolant level was down a little, exposing the thermocouple to air, rather than being submerged in coolant. joe

This is a shop that specializes in car AC, including retrofitting into vehicles that had never had it. I'd hate to discover they're not thorough. joe

There is wisdom here. I'm truly sorry for your loss. I feel it. I've been staring into that void for months. I retired 6 years ago. Mama retired last Oct, full of plans for all her newly free time; and got sick a month later. Since last Thanksgiving, she's been in and out of the hospital; with...

Big upgrade, just got a real AI (Gemini)

AI has no knowledge, yet. Each of them only has a database, or access to databases, until they can think/reason. I've asked a couple of AI sites what databases they can access. They're very limited in numbers. Current "AI" is a marketing phrase, like "the cloud". The things you claim are still...

    Key Fobs?

That's where I got mine. After finding the rear hatch open on a few mornings [and I park in the driveway], I ordered fobs without the hatch buttons. Problem solved. joe

I didn't notice any real fall-off in performance until outside temps started breaking 80*, last month. And yeah, I remember having a towel to help the defroster along. LOL, but now that it's all shiny new, I noticed yesterday that the back of my left hand feeling like I'd been holding it...

Until it can reason for itself, it's not smart at all. If you read the same sources that're fed to AIs, you'll still be smarter because you can reason. "Artificial" is irrelevant. joe

I had mine checked and charged this time last year. He couldn't find the leak, so put some dye in. He told me he'd see the dye, and pinpoint the leak, this year. I went last week. He added 2 lb of refrigerant, but didn't find the dye or leak. He says it's probably under the dash; and that he'll...
