Well, the radio has a memory wire. And the pcm, bcm, and what ever control module has been added. So it's not that far fetched to have one on the DVD. For just a factory easy fix, it's crazy if they dont.
So that tells me that the power to the DVD player is only key on hot and doesn't have a memory 12 volts. Cause that is what would let it play where it left off.
Where did u get the part from? U can power probe the ac relay and command the compressor on and see if it cools. Possibly the high pressure sensor is bad? Or not enough freon
U can go to Autozone and on the RTV isle, get a roll of like 3/4 to 1 inch single sided foam to replace what is easy to get to. That alone makes a difference. And if the vacuum manifold is worn change that to. So head unit.
It's always been common practice for the dealer to put a smaller tire and or rim. Compact but full size. It's only mint to get u to a tire shop. He'll, the new camaros don't even come with a spare. It's a obsolete option.
