What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

When I was much younger, and had big loud systems in my truck that would rattle everything, I took an old orange extension cord and lubed it up and inserted into the cavity of the weather stripping on the back of my Squarebody S-10 Blazer. It worked absolutely beautiful. It may be considered...

I knew I should have taken some pics before installing them... lol I will see what I can do with them on the truck. I need to get some more vinyl cut to go back on the new handles. My old handles had pearl white vinyl on them to make them look like the 2015+ trucks.

Anyone that has owned a GMT900 for any length of time has probably had to replace a door handle, or 12... especially if you have kids. I remember several years ago seeing a company that made solid billet aluminum door handles for these rigs but they don't appear to be available anymore, at...

Tough time with new JVC head unit

The brown plug is where the factory camera wiring resides. I assume they sent you a plug that fits the brown factory plug and converts it over to an RCA plug (usually yellow).

    Misfire mystery?

Have you verified that you actually have spark on cylinder 5? I don't mean swapping coils, wires, plugs. I mean have you actually stuck a spark tester or screwdriver in the end of the plug wire while the engine is running? I ask because the short harness on the coil pack bracket, that goes...

    Help! Fix Broken Tahoe Spoiler

Looks like the K2XX platform, not a GMT900. I have no experience with that body style spoiler.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Without reinventing the wheel, cross drilled and slotted rotors and some decent pads. I prefer ceramic because they don't produce as much dust on the wheels. You could also get a set of rear calipers from a GMT800 and swap them onto your GMT900. 800s run a dual piston rear caliper, 900s run a...

'07 Tahoe driver door ajar warning?????!!!

No, there shouldn't be. And just to clarify, your problem is the interior lights staying on and the door ajar message on the DIC, correct? If so, I definitely think it is the switch inside the latch mechanism.

'07 Tahoe driver door ajar warning?????!!!

This is accurate. I, perhaps wrongly, assumed it was a new module. There is probably nothing wrong with his old module and it is more than likely the switch inside the latch mechanism would be my guess.

Squeaks, rattles and vibrations - SOLVED!

Just as an FYI, the latches, that you push down to lock your doors manually, have a tendency to rattle/vibrate/buzz under certain conditions. A little piece of the soft side of velcro, or some stick on felt, stuck on the back side of them will alleviate this.

    TPMS Problem

The problem is your pressure is Too High. It doesn't just look for low pressure, it is looking for a range and you are well above that at 50 psi. If 25% Range is accurate, 25% above 30 PSI would be 37.5 psi or higher. As mentioned above, a Tech2 or other good scan tool can adjust the...

09 tahoe has .1-.4 volt ground short on body of ecm

Just grasping at straws here, but i had an issue with the 5V reference signal voltage on several sensors and I found that the main harness coming from the ECM going over the top of the driver's side valve cover had a couple wires shorting out. There is a stud that sticks up from the valve...

2012 yukon denali hot idle engine tick/noise

I have used a BBQ lighter to check for exhaust leaks on motorcycles. Run it around the port and if it blows out you found your leak. Obviously on a car you need to do this when cold so the radiator fans don't blow it out.

'07 Tahoe driver door ajar warning?????!!!

It has to be programmed. It sounds like the switch inside the latch mechanism is what you need to replace.
