2nd row bucket seats not very comfortable

I've replaced a bench in my 2014 Tahoe with bucket seats from 2011 Escalade. While I love the extra space it provides for a fridge and small console for passengers, I don't find the seat's back very comfortable. They recline, which is a great bonus, however it seems that the lumbar area is very...

    Cleaning the throttle body

I'm did clean mine that way, to avoid any idle RPM problems. The assistant turns the ignition key without starting the engine, and floors the accelerator. The butterfly valve opens and you use your favorite tooth brush with TB cleaner to make it shine. Be gentle not to bend it. No disassembly...

Idle relearn / throttle body cleaning

I haven't watched video, but it is not about re-learning. It is about proper cleaning procedure, so re-learning is not required in the end.

Idle relearn / throttle body cleaning

If you don't open it by hand, it is not different from a normal operation on car. The car wouldn't even know you did cleaning.

Idle relearn / throttle body cleaning

I confirm, no trouble codes whatsoever, and why would there be any? I normally open the throttle this way and clean the TB while bolted on. Then turn everything off and remove the TB and clean the back side of it, without ever opening the throttle plate. That's what kills you- manualy opening...

11 Burb 4x4 Transmission fluid change

The pump will push the fluid out no matter what, but theoretically, agitated fluid will be able to take out more sediments. That means at least warm.

    Dash Cam recomendations?

The best way to hardwire is to tap into the mirror socket/terminal with 12v-to-USB adapter. This way you get switched power and no wires to route.

    Heavier - duty liftgate struts?

That's what I'm thinking of now. Can't find anything else in this load range. I'm in Canada, and shipping is a killer. Maybe next time I cross the border. If my liftgate doesn't go on crusade sooner...

    Heavier - duty liftgate struts?

Is Strong Arm better then Lift Supports Depot? SA doesn't have a support rated over stock 244lb. Looks like only LSD has one that is rated at 300lbs. So I wonder how good they are...

    Heavier - duty liftgate struts?

Thank you very much, I've got it!

    Heavier - duty liftgate struts?

Does anyone know if there is more sturdy replacement for the liftgate supports? My door is much heavier then stock due to the soundproofing stuff that I put in there. It was allright when warm, but in this cold the liftgate wants to smack me every time I open it... I should have thought about...

Weather tech floor liners kinda sucking

I hold my Weathertech fronts with velcro to the door sills. Never a problem, they don't go anywhere and everything is easily removable.

    Custom Center Console (W.I.P.)

What do you have in the wast space under the stock central console? You have rectangular access holes on both sides of your console.

That's the system capacity, you will use all of it. Then get some for the filter change.

I second the filter change. Lots of debris on the magnets in the pan.

Escalade wheels peeling, anyone painted, plastidip, powdercoated anything besides black?

For the winter set-up I've got a set of the really old aluminum rims with sensors, oxidated, peeled, pitted, etc. Cheap, indeed. I sand-blasted and powder-coated them. Overall, I'm very happy, here are few tips. - See if you can media- blast them. Nut shells would be ideal. Sand leaves harsh...

11 Burb 4x4 Transmission fluid change

Yes, fluid comes out of radiator, not out of the steel line. Sorry, the memory became blurry here... I've got 3/8" fitting like this...

11 Burb 4x4 Transmission fluid change

Ugh.. Can't tell you the diameter, yours will be metric anyway... Take a look at the cooler line, that's the internal diameter that you need. Yes, idle the engine until you see bubbles in the clear tubing. Shut off, refill, then start again. The cycle lasts for about 5-8 seconds, so watch...

11 Burb 4x4 Transmission fluid change

The transfusion is a very simple and easy process. Could be done solo, but it works better with manpower of two. You'd need a plastic tubing, 3/8" transmission cooler line fitting, container for the old fluid, the new fluid and the ability to disconnect the quick-connect metal ATF cooler pipe at...

According to their claim of meeting Dex-VI spec, yes.

11 Burb 4x4 Transmission fluid change

You may, but you'll get less than a half of the fluid this way. Better option is the fluid transfusion through the ATF coolant line up at the radiator. Complete fluid exchange. Sent from my VIVO XL using Tapatalk
