front passenger (right side) door handle/armrest replacement

Passenger door handle/armrest...the little white clip broke. I went through this years ago, and cannot for the life of me remember where I got the replacement! So...I ordered one from Amazon. $61.00 delivered. It got here today. It's the right color (dark gray), but the grain pattern was...

Brake lights somehow tied into Cruise Control? - SOLVED

Actually, I did wonder if the stalk lit up, but I know now that it doesn't, never did. (I've only owned this Tahoe for 7 years LOL!) I just forgot! And yes, when I turn on the CC now, the indicator does light up on the dash!

Brake lights somehow tied into Cruise Control? - SOLVED

OH...I forgot to point out something important about this particular job...and my Tahoe. My '03 Tahoe is a LT...has pretty much all the options, including the power adjustable foot pedals, and THAT is a big help on this particular job, because everything that is needed to be done is accessed...

Brake lights somehow tied into Cruise Control? - SOLVED

UPDATE: Last night I got under the dash while my girlfriend was behind the Tahoe...and I'd press the pedal and wiggle the switch and all 3 brake lights would go on and off intermittently, so that told me it was the switch that was bad. Went to O'Reilly today and got the switch...they had 2...

Brake lights somehow tied into Cruise Control? - SOLVED

So, I'm driving today and a guy pulled up next to me and motioned for me to roll down my window...and he told me my brake lights weren't working...neither left nor right nor 3rd brake light. So, I thanked him, came home and checked...all my other lights are working perfectly, but no brake...

    BLCKTEC 430 Reviews?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this scanner, BLKTEC 430, that popped up in my feed today. It's one of those dongles that plugs into the OBD port and you get a full scan/readout on your iphone once you download their ap. Looks like it can do a lot for little $$...and no...

Time for a tune up I guess.

Fixed it! LOL...well, actually, it fixed itself! Started the Tahoe the next day and it's been working perfectly ever since!

Time for a tune up I guess.

OK...well THAT was interesting! #8 wasn't so bad after all. Me dropping the sparkplug and spending an hour trying to find it was the worst part. However, I not only found my sparkplug, but also a 10mm box end wrench I've never seen before, and a universal swivel thing for my socket set that I...

OH...and here's what the 4 that finally came out look like...not bad, eh?

Time for a tune up I guess.

Well...after two hours I finally got 4 of the spark plugs and wires replaced, and I'm taking a little break to ask a question. Now, granted, I'm an oldER-school guy...my other car being a 68 Cadillac Coupe deVille, and on that car, you put the plugs in just tight enough to feel the crush...

Also...thanks to all the help I receive here...I paid to be a supporting member...but I don't see the banner on my profile. I guess it takes awhile to update?

Time for a tune up I guess.

Rock Auto shows these sparkplugs for my 03...ACDELCO 41962 And these wires...ACDELCO 9748GG The plugs are double-platinum. The chart shows that iridium is actually a better plug for performance and mileage, but Rock Auto doesn't list one for my vehicle? And the wires don't come with heat...

Time for a tune up I guess.

Yeah, it seems crazy to me too! I wouldn't want a newer one! This 2WD '03 has relatively low mileage, no rust (Calif truck, so no surprise there), no damage anywhere. I bought it from the brother of the original owner...it's an LT so it has the heated leather seats, 6 CD Bose system, sun/moon...

Time for a tune up I guess.

The day after I bought my Tahoe, the fuel pump went out, so I had that, and the fuel filter, replaced. I also replaced my air filter with a K&N. Since then, I've replaced the 02 sensors, and all the 3 fuel evap parts that kept sending codes, cleaned the MAF and throttle body, replaced the ac...

Oil pressure all over the place - SOLVED

Just replaced mine...and I wholeheartedly agree with you about starting the new one in by hand. Those threads are soft...and be careful not to over-torque the unit when tightening.

Time for a tune up I guess.

So, I was driving to the car wash, and my check engine light started flashing. Not just 'on'...but flashing on and off. Never did that before. So I immediately pulled over and turned it off and popped the hood. All looked fine...so I started it up again and it was still flashing, but the Tahoe...

    Parking Brake SNAFU

LOL! I know what you mean, but I am positive I am trying to turn the bolt the correct way! I have been working on classic cars my entire life, mostly GM and 1968 or before. These days, whatever I need and don't know, I can usually find on the internet. And with videos too! However, having...
