    Cigarette lighter socket issue

Fyi to anyone else replacing sockets, the aux socket and cig light socket on my 01 Yukon use different connectors, and are not interchangeable. Cig light part#: 25776667 Aux socket part#: 25774623

    Rear door speakers super quiet??

Nice! Thank you. Did you use solid copper wire? (If so, what gauge?) Or the stranded copper wire (like the type used in speaker harnesses).

    Rear door speakers super quiet??

I’m thinking I should bypass the rear audio controls, but having trouble finding a wiring diagram. Has anyone successfully done this?

    Rear door speakers super quiet??

2001 Yukon XL (non-Bose). Installed new head unit, amp and rear panel woofer. Also bypassed the amp. The rear door speakers are super quiet. I realize the rears are wired in via the rear audio controls on the back of the center console (which don’t work now). Are these rear controls...

    NNBS Cargo space?

Agreed. Although it is definitely possible to close the hatch with a stack of 4x8’s in the back of a GMT800 (Burbon or Yukon XL), but true indeed that dragging that third row bench out is a major PITA, especially when in a hurry or out and about where there is nowhere to leave it. Even though...

    Hydroboost upgrade

Also, I read up that it’s possible to upgrade an NBS Hydroboost setup to an NNBS Hydroboost setup... Meaning it would fit as a retrofit to a non-Hydroboost NBS truck. Has anyone done this?

    Hydroboost upgrade

Refurbing the brakes in my 01 Yukon XL 5.3 after my MC just bit the dust. It never really gave me comfort when stopping after putting on 20” wheels with 305’s, compared to stopping stock. I’m going to upgrade to Hydroboost, as well as NNBS front brakes. I have pretty much all of the parts...

Blue Behemoth Build Thread (01 Yukon XL)

Indeed I considered that as well. Closest salvage yard to me is an hour drive each direction, plus bridge toll... So it would end up costing more than the actual bracket itself if I can find one online. I’ve reached out to a bunch of sellers on eBay parting out 00-02 trucks, so will wait if...

Blue Behemoth Build Thread (01 Yukon XL)

So the rear right door speaker was completely gone, along with the speaker bracket. The rear speakers have never worked, and finally I know why the left one didn’t work lol. That being said, I need to find a replacement speaker bracket. All of the ones I’ve found on eBay are from 03-06...

Blue Behemoth Build Thread (01 Yukon XL)

There is plenty of room below the center console for an amp... Has anyone installed an amp there? What’s a good place to ground the amp near there?

    Detroit Axle brakes

Ya indeed, the high number of good reviews caught my eye, however the negative reviews also mostly mentioned that the pads are very dusty and/or wear down super fast.

    Detroit Axle brakes

Anyone running Detroit axle rotors and pads on their NNBS caliper upgrade? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DBCD9B4/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_IEKbFb12AHCQ6 I’m about to install the NNBS calipers I got from @Rocket Man, and wondering if anyone has tried these.

    Anyone parting out 00-02 Yukon/Tahoe?

And yes, I tried eBay... None to be had. I did reach out to some of the sellers who appeared to be parting out their rigs.

    Anyone parting out 00-02 Yukon/Tahoe?

Wondering if anyone is parting out their 00-02 Yukon/Tahoe/Suburban... I’m looking for the rear passenger speaker bracket. (Fits 6.5” door speaker)

Wife hates my new 2006 Yukon XL Denali

Given the miles, have you checked out the tie rods and/or control arm bushings?

Wife hates my new 2006 Yukon XL Denali

+1 on double checking that the connections to the pump are not loose and fully clicked in. When my rear shocks blew out a few years ago, I installed Monroe rear air shocks (mine has Auto Ride and they’ve been great), the loose connection set off the suspension light in the dash. Replugged it in...

Wife hates my new 2006 Yukon XL Denali

Even though cabin filters weren’t installed into our trucks after 02, there is a Dorman and an AC Delco retrofit, which easily allows you to install a cabin filter... So, perhaps check that out to rule it out. It’s located below the glove box to the left underneath that lower panel (couple 7mm...

    Original wires for woofer upgrade

I posted this question in my build thread, but wanted to link it here as well... Im wondering if anyone know whether it’s okay to use the original wiring to upgrade the rear panel 8” sub woofer in a 2001 Yukon, if the new woofer will be dual voice coil (2 ohm each) wired in series to run as 4...

Blue Behemoth Build Thread (01 Yukon XL)

Got a sweet deal on a CompRT shallow 8” sub on eBay. I’m hoping it will just drop into the stock rear panel enclosure. Being that the stock woofer is a single voice coil 2ohm, and I’ll be connecting the new (dual voice x 2ohm) woofer in series as a 4ohm woofer... Is it okay to use the original...

    NNBS Cargo space?

Although not as heartbreaking as I initially thought, even the NNBS trucks don’t beat the cargo space of NBS trucks, which have maximum vertical room, as well as completely flat surface all the way to the back of the front seats.

    NNBS Cargo space?

Indeed, the seats in the 2015+ do make the floor higher. So I guess, the NBS Tahoe/Yukon/Burbs are the last ones to have the tumbling style seats where the cargo floor is completely flat??

    NNBS Cargo space?

Does anyone have photos with the 3rd row seats removed, and the 2nd row 64/40 bench tumbled/folded?
