    FYI, 2013 Tahoe SSV specs

    Lot's of good information there. I now see why to PPV tires cost so much, heavy, and ride like LT tires. The Goodyears are 8 ply. I just checked my Firestones, and they are just 5 ply.

    I have what seems to be not normal V-4 vibration. Is that covered under the powertrain warranty? I can bypass it around town by running the trans in M5 for now though.

    Is there a better manual shift button set-up?

    The 4 speed didn't have a button, it was physically moving the lever through the gears. I learned how to drive with a 3 on the tree manual, and it comes naturally.

    That's the best thing about Plasti-dip, no scuffing or primer needed, just spray it and it will stick.

    Plasti-dip rubberized spray will stick to clean chrome great. I use it all the time, and you can simply peel it back off.

    Yeah I really wanted to autocross it with the pursuit tires on it, but after reading between the lines in the SCCA rules the PPV is about 2-3 inches too tall to compete. So I took my 97 C5 instead, and had fun.

    Since you had it tuned out, I would wonder if it really was for sure? I've kind of got used to the V-4 tingle, and probably saving gas whenever I can get it to kick in, when I'm in no hurry to get anywhere.

    Does it have cylinder deactivation? Mine does, and I can always feel a light shudder at light load when in goes into V-4 mode.

    I actually found a couple pictures of my Tahoe when it was in police service in Hutchinson Kansas. The light holes and sticker remnants all line up.
