Someone make me feel better about this markup

No way I’d pay the markup unless the $$ is no object to you. We had a High Country Suburban we were considering but the dealer wanted full MSRP of $82k and we found a dealer who took our GM Executive referral coupon and got a Suburban LT w/ options for $63k……. MSRP was like 71k. :)

    2023 Suburban is here! But….

Nope, nobody was hurt, cracked headlight, grille, bumper cover and scuffed the RF fender.

    2023 Suburban is here! But….

I was really enjoying our non-drilled, no plate front bumper until my wife smeared a deer with ours on day 10 of ownership UGHHH!!!!

Resetting aver mi on 22 Tahoe

FYI my best was 22.7 all Highway 65mph on the way home from dealer. Averaging around 18 mixed rural driving, 750 miles on it now. 2022 Suburban LT

Resetting aver mi on 22 Tahoe

Mine looks same Yours is definitely the “Uplevel” cluster like mine. I remember hitting “reset average” and it took a few miles before it did so. Mine is using a 50 mile rolling average right now, if I remember right

    Winter wheel / tire setup

Factory 18” Silverado takeoff wheels will clear the calipers, right? I’ve got a set of 500-mile Blizzaks from our Expedition I wanna run on this ‘22 Burb we just picked up.

Super Stoked — Just picked up new ‘22 Burb

We had a couple of Sequoias, a QX80, a couple minivans, and then we moved up to a 13 Burban, 14 Escalade ESV, the Expedition Max, and now this Suburban. We won't go back to anything smaller until our kids are all grown. My wife is very nervous to drive a van in Michigan winters because they...

Super Stoked — Just picked up new ‘22 Burb

Oh boy. 2018 Expedition Max Platinum, bought last summer CPO with 60k miles (for $59.5k, mind you)....put the Extended Ford warranty on it. Wife's favorite car ever, but the biggest POS we've ever owned. In a year/15k miles, it needed front wheel bearings, drank a gallon and a half of...

Super Stoked — Just picked up new ‘22 Burb

Absolutely GO drive a Suburban, the difference in cargo space is huge, especially if you ever use the 3rd row. Our kids are 8, 11, 15 and there's no way we can take a road trip in anything smaller than a Expy Max or Suburban. :)

    Trailering package question

My ‘22 Burb LT with Standard tow package does have the trailer light check and tow/haul mode, as mentioned.

Super Stoked — Just picked up new ‘22 Burb

We need the space of the Burb with 3 kids and stuff. Go drive one, the rear is very defined when parking etc compared to a pickup….. (back before backup cameras were a thing, the Burbs were easy to park because you could see where the back pillars were versus on a pickup where you were guessing...

Sorry guys, didn’t see the replies until now. Bought a brand new ‘22 Burb LT today, woot woot!!

Super Stoked — Just picked up new ‘22 Burb

Averaged 22-22.5 mpg on the 150 mile drive home, mostly rural 65mph roads. Impressed with that. 5.3 with 10 speed is adequately preppy for my heavy foot, sport mode does help a bit. I can’t feel the AFM or whatever it’s called engaging, is there an indicator anywhere to see if it’s in V4...

Super Stoked — Just picked up new ‘22 Burb

Had an 18 Expedition max Platinum that was nothing but problems. Got everything fixed and hurried up and traded it on a new Suburban before anything else could go wrong. originally was looking at 18-20 used but prices are so high that could buy new for almost the same $$ with a GM Exec...

6.2 Durability, Oil, Lifters, AFM and more

Yeah, but I’d rather not deal with fixing something a previous owner neglected, which is why I asked how sensitive the 6.2 is to oil changes and what’s considered frequently enough. :)

6.2 Durability, Oil, Lifters, AFM and more

Had a 14 Escalade that we owned until last summer. Disabled AFM when we got it via BlackBear tune, it treated us fairly well for 3 years, from 30-75k miles. Replaced with an 18 Expedition Platinum that has been nothing but problems. Right now it’s in the shop getting new timing chains and...

    2013 Yukon XL - 131k miles for $25k - buy?

Yep, now it's a Buy at that price, I'd say....

    Different DOD/AFM delete/disable questions

You could email Black Bear and ask.............my mileage drops with the tune, partly because the AFM is disabled, and partly because I have a lead foot LOL:)

    2013 Yukon XL - 131k miles for $25k - buy?

I think that price is a bit high...............I have a 14 Escalade ESV that is as clean as possible, 70xxx miles, was offered $28.5k on trade in from 3 dealerships last week. On the lot, my truck is a $33-34,995 vehicle right now. I would think even in today's hot market, the used Denali...

    Different DOD/AFM delete/disable questions

I disabled mine when I bought our 2014 Escalade (30k miles at the time) with a Black Bear Tune.........obviously doesn't change the mechanicals, but it prevents the DOD/AFM from engaging. Runs and drives 100x better with the Black Bear Tune........

Keep it or sell? Help me diagnose a couple issues please

I'm so tempted to take the crazy trade-in offer, but in reality we're going from a 28.5k car to a 58.5k car.............which I can buy a lot of parts (or extend the warranty for a small amount/etc). I cleaned the throttle body on Saturday, it was filthy dirty...it might be idling a bit...

Keep it or sell? Help me diagnose a couple issues please

Yep, even if I spend $2k on warranty extention, it's cheap insurance. This warranty cost me $3k for 3 years (almost expired now), and it's paid over $5k in claims with the shocks, compressor, and radiator......... first warranty I've ever bought and was worth it:) I did check the engine...
