    Shock for 02 yukon?

I don't think it's that rare. At least not in the later models. Not sure if the novelty of the nivomat wore off but I don't see many later models (04-06) with nivomat and I've never seen a long wheelbase later year with them.

    Shock for 02 yukon?

Front shocks are standard shocks on your vehicle.

A leak on the parking brake passenger side

I can't help with the spider gears but I'll respond to this for future information of others. It's likely the seals have a groove worn in the axle. The seal pulls the axle back into place. You have to forcefully push the axle in and hold it. I used a ratchet strap hooked on something (trailing...

    Shock for 02 yukon?

Fyi, following inquisition thread a while back, I'm quite certain it's the g65 that means nivomat... g65 is "manual self-adjusting suspension". I have zw7 but no g65 and mine does not have nivomat. Every scrapyard vehicle I've seen with nivomat had the g65 RPO code. The op also has g65 so he...

Will these Tires fit 2000 Tahoe?

The premium wheel/tire combo had p265/70r17 tires so p275/70r17 are sure to fit as they would only be slightly wider and slightly taller than stock "premium " tires. As stated 2012 tpms sensors won't work...

Anybody in the north treat for rust?

IMHO, all of them (auto makers) use really rust prone metals... rust is the nature of living in the rust belt...

    Transmission fluid and filter recomendations

Maybe Amazon is playing us on price... I'm seeing $41 per gallon which is over $10/qt... 2-1/2 times the price I mentioned...

    Transmission fluid and filter recomendations

Yeah, the quarts of ACD Dex-VI Synthetic I put in my cart at $4 ea are now gone... bummer... hope they come back again... I should've just bought them because I knew it was a really good price.

Anybody in the north treat for rust?

The rubberized undercoat on my '05 is peeling off. I know it's trapping moisture and garbage. I'm thinking about getting it up on a rack or something and getting the underside pressure-washed/steam-cleaned then treating with a wax/oil based rust preventer like Fluid Film's lanolin based...

I know they're available, but price/qt to buy in a gallon jug is actually higher than buying in quarts...

    Engine swap for Tahoe z71

Yes and no... IIRC, 03 didn't yet have e-fans so the 03 engine is going to come with a fan on the front. As far as other minor differences I don't know. But they're all the same basic engine, you just may have to swap some parts from your 05, onto the 03.

    Transmission fluid and filter recomendations

AC Delco Dexron-VI synthetic. They said the only thing they can sell me is what they carry for the shop and apparently they get theirs in a 275 gallon tote. It's literally a 275 gallon square tank inside a metal protective basket sitting on a pallet. I saw some on there pretty cheap... just...

    Transmission fluid and filter recomendations

FWIW, I plan to change fluid and filter sometime this year so this thread got me in gear to get the stuff and have it ready. Figured I would give the dealer a chance to provide the fluid... nope. They will only sell me a 275 gallon bulk tote... said they can't even sell small quantities. Which...

    Changed to Escalade vent caps.

That looks good!!! I wasn't going to mess with Esky caps but my wife mentioned how she hates the vents that are on it now... My XL is also carbon metallic. I really like that color...

    Transmission fluid and filter recomendations

I don't think max life is a licensed Dex-VI product is it? It wasn't on the latest published list I have. Dexron-VI or a GM licensed product that meets Dex-VI is all I would run.

    I need TPMS Help

I think I know which are bad... Winter wheels: the one I tried learning numerous times that wouldn't learn. Summer wheels: the 2 on the left... any time I get the svc tpms error msg I use the DIC to check which ones aren't working and the FL & RL are always the culprits that missed a...

Yukon XL towing capacity: 3.73 vs 4.10

Let me first caveat that I grew up very rural before truck stop scales were common. We never paid to weigh one, just went to local grain elevator. So the idea of paying anything to get a weight seems unreasonable to me... just my opinion. I realize not everyone has a local grain elevator to go to.

    I need TPMS Help

Learn procedure is what I used to determine one is totally gone... I thought there was a different "reset" procedure you were talking about. Full story: bought a 2nd set of wheels exactly like mine from a salvage yard to use for winter tires (better traction with ice tires and keeps my nicer...

    Shock for 02 yukon?

This is what rockauto.com shows; only 4 that I know of that make them. If you want to be certain you need these look at your RPO list in the glovebox, it's a sticker with a bunch of 3-digit codes on it. You're looking for ZW7 & G65. If you have both of those you should have these shocks or you...

Yukon XL towing capacity: 3.73 vs 4.10

Ah, ok... The truck-stop is definitely an option, I just didn't mention it because I assumed most were aware of that option. I was only offering alternatives that may not charge you for it. Also gotta keep in mind, not everyone is close to a truck-stop. I don't know where my closest truck-stop...

Yukon XL towing capacity: 3.73 vs 4.10

Most truck stops charge for their scales. Are you saying you got them to comp it by telling them it was a military move?

    I need TPMS Help

Out of my 2 sets of wheels (1 winter, 1 not-winter) I have 3 sensors bad. 2 are just low batteries. Are the batteries replaceable? I see some Ebay listings for used sensors come with a "service kit" but I thought you couldn't change batteries? If not, what part numbers will work? 11514379 like...

Third row bench seat storage protection?

If you have a large, old chest-freezer they make great mice-proof storage chests. Would need a big one to fit the seat but they're out there... put a wanted ad, most people pay to have broken old freezers hauled off... offer to take it for free.
