Ignition activated 12 volt plug
I just picked up a dash cam and I'm annoyed to find that all my 12v outlets are on direct power. What's the best way to convert one so it powers on with the ignition? I've seen a few vague references to tapping into the under dash fuse panel, nothing specific as to which circuit is best. Thanks- Stickle

Left Rear Turn Signal/Brake pedal gremlin
The mystery has been solved. The wiring block at the rear (near the spare) had a small pebble wedged in it. Unplugged the left signal wire, used a pick to clear out the pebble and it seats fully. Gratifying/infuriating to find a simple cause/solution. Luckily I never caught a fail to signal... -

Rear hvac module discontinued. Can mine be repaired?
I've come across a few mentions of calibration, lots that seem to say the mods are plug n play. Funny how a mass produced part like this can remain such a confounding variable after all this time. -

For now I manually set the actuator and unplugged it, all heat all the time. Once I get a replacement maybe I'll crack open the defective one and see what makes it tick (or fail to tick). -

Morning all, just wanting to revive the thread with a question for the electronic guys. What, specifically, is failing inside the control mod? Is it bad solder, a bad transformer, loose pins? I see there are a few guys who refurbish them (all seem to be in Texas), just curious what the fix... -

2003 Tahoe, got an occasional fast signal (like a burnt out bulb) when indicating left. It came and went for about half a year, then became more frequent. Eventually the rear left stopped working entirely. Fuses and bulbs all checkout fine, changed the column switch out and the flasher module... -

Just a quick lament and wondering out loud. I had to replace a burnt out rear wiper motor on my 06 Tahoe, the plastic nut left it's threads on the old motor. I'm pleased to see that I can get a replacement for a few bucks (even from a stealership!), but I'm confused as to why they're made of...
