yeah...... about that. I hand tightened, used the house dewalt impact drill until it didn't move the bolts, then I used a wrench and tightened them maybe another quarter turn. They are snug, but nothing crazy at all. I was real careful with the impact drill as I didn't want to snap a bolt or...
I have an 07 with the outdated/oil consuming valve cover. This is the updated version that's supposed to help stop drinking oil like a fish.

Swapped the valve cover this morning. Took about 30-45 minutes. I forgot to take a pic of the inside, but it wasn't too bad imo. Outside was nasty af though. I'll take pics tomorrow and post them up.

Listen, murphy's law is literally created after me. I've partially learned my lesson and take all necessary precautions and time to complete something. Two days is cutting it close.....

Well I finally have 2 days off with nice weather, so I plan on replacing the valve cover and maybe cleaning it up a bit inside. Dropping it off for inspection on Wednesday morning.

Need some help on getting new tires for the 24's. I had some knock off nankang brand from ebay(actually wasn't a bad tire imo) but looking for a new set. Besides nitto 420s, what's a good recommendation.
A friend from work can get these general grabbers for fairly cheap imo. Anyone have any...
It's supposed to come with a new gasket and bolts, so we will see. Should I spray/Clean anything inside or just leave all of it alone and swap covers

If I'm going to do this updated valve cover, what all would I need? Would the new cover come with a new gasket? Anything to clean inside?
I don't really want to tear into this as it's my daily and can't afford to be without it. I'm ok with cleaning inside and parts, but really replacing other...
Nope, everything was topped off a few months ago when I replaced the radiator. Still pretty much full.
I'm used to it draining a bit when I change the oil, that's why I was a little concerned. Probably nothing tbh, but I'll take a look when it gets warmer outside

Finally opened the catchcan..... This was after driving, but still..... It was like soft-serve ice cream..... Contemplating flushing it out to see if something is clogged. Just odd that is has not drained in the past two oil changes.

I wish, only in snow or rain will this old 5.3 get sideways. I always figured with a bb tune, long tubes, and a free flowing exhaust, the few extra ponies I have would have helped, but nope.
Wanna trade? Haha
Changed the oil today and finally got to use the new jack I picked up over black...
I didn't, I just deal with the noise. Occasionally add lithium grease and go about my day. [emoji1745] I'll probably have it fixed when it gets inspected in March

Haha I'm sure only a few could, plus it would be stuck in the grease on the floor so probably wouldn't work. Definitely not a "clean" environment. I love driving, but it's not as fun after being in it 12hrs
And very true Jacob. Will it ever get fully staffed? No, but it will be close...
Another one said they were quitting last night....blows my mind that we can't keep people. If peopt would stick it out, the schedule is gravy once it gets back to normal. 36hr week, 48hr week, rinse and repeat.
I got my headlight bulb in and swapped that out. Definitely different than stock...
I'm trying! Been doing 60hrs a week since July, and they started this 6 days crap after Thanksgiving. I'll be alright, trying to give all my time to the family.
Yeah, we are so short staffed it's not even funny. People used to sit in a hiring pool for years to work at this place, now we can't...
Listen here assholes, just kidding hahaha! You all got jokes.....
I'll gladly send it to one of you if you want to mess with it, I'll pay for everything.
I honestly don't have the time. 12hr swing shift 6 days a week doesn't leave me time to do anything sadly, why I have been on much in the...
Well, not only did the headlight bulb go out a few days ago, now my driver's side brake light quit. I know it's just a loose wire, and I tried messing with it a few times, but I give up. Ordered another set sadly. It's the g5 replicas This will be 3 sets of taillights in the garage.....
