    O2 sensor p0141

Wiggling the connector and getting new codes is a whole new ballgame. The heater fuse blew either due to a shorted heater, which can be tested with a meter, or the harness is chaffed and contacting the body. This would take a visual inspection along the harness.

Check the fuse for the heater circuit and then check for 12V at the o2 connector across the heater circuit.

    Subwoofer Questions

Are you looking to replace the factory woofer or forget it, and improve over the factory setup? The answer to the question, is no. However, you could 2 times that if you wanted.

    ABS to conventional brake conversion.

My thoughts also. Unless there is a crazy ABS failure thats preventing the base brakes from working as intended, pulling the ABS fuse prevents ABS intervention, thus leaving you with base conventional brakes.

    Front Differential a Goner?

Take a pipe or 2x4 and slowly wedge it against the front wheel that is rolling, and I bet the other side will roll once the other stops.

    Upgrade transmission recommendations?

While doing some recon when my trans bit the dust, I saw a couple references to the 4L65 as being a more robust 4L60. I did not go this route as I wanted more definitive info on the subject, but time was not on my side.

    Did I kill my Diff?

Running the truck in drive with the rig lifted off the ground by the frame, should still have the prop shaft well within a safe operating angle. Should not hurt a u-joint. Modified suspension could be different story.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

A knock and o2 code together, could indicate an issue. Are you able to see data or just going off a code being set? A lean bank can cause knock and a lean o2 code.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Nope, not me. Park brakes have not held since I got the rig. Quick inspection found the cable adjuster sucked all the way in. At that point, I just ordered new shoes. Rotors are worse off then I had hoped.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Tire rotation, bled brakes and replaced park shoes. She really needs rear rotors. The park shoe surface is really warn. Had a heck of a time getting the drivers side to hold good. But rear rotors are going to be another day. Did not have a 2nd ride at the shop to go get them and cant leave it...

    HVAC WTF

Going to pursue this option as well, as it looks like the mechanical actuator for the blend door has been tossed as well. No idea yet, if this is an available part from GM. Finding a complete air box gets me all the pieces, as well as a good chance of a working blend motor. I agree with you...

    HVAC WTF

So over the summer, I wondered why the rear AC was mediocre. As we moved into winter, I noticed I had no rear heat. Pulled the panel off and fount this. Bend motor removed, hole cut out in air box and screw run through blend door holding it in the cold position. Gotta love backyard hacks...

    That’s why she was overheating

Did the belt jump off? If so, id suspect the tensioner, idler or locked up alternator.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Happy to answer. Since Oct, ive put about 2K in this rig with a reman trans, oil change, rear main seal and seal housing gasket. Still to go; Plugs, wires and Thermostat (+ 2 gals of fresh coolant) as well as new rear park shoes on hand to also be done in the next week. By all accounts, the...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Nothing real exciting. Had a post-CAT o2 heater code right after finishing the new transmission. No big deal. Ordered 2 new o2's. Removed both post-CAT o2's and tossed them aside. Removed the pre-CAT o2's and reinstalled them in the post-CAT spots, then installed the 2 new o2's in the pre-CAT...

Found a great speaker for our trucks

Are the factory ones a mid-bass woofer only with remote tweeter or a 2 way? if the later, then amps cross-filter may not be delivering a full range audio signal to the speakers. This may leave some of its potential on the table.

    EGR Disaster

Did they break off flush or did the heads pop off leaving a stud? Likely will need to drill them out oversize and install thread inserts for the prior, but a stud remover will work for the later.

Replaced the stock sub... odd issue

Is the new woofer the same or higher impedance as the original? A post amp signal wire connection issue will result in a woofer that works/not works. If a pre-amp signal chnl drops out, the woofers output will be reduced. The one exception would be if you used a dual voice coil woofer and the...

    Oil Consumption

The comments about syn and syn blend made me go check on something. The valvoline im using is labeled by NAPA, but clearly states on the back, its by valvoline. No where on the bottle or online, do I see that its syn or a syn blend. Conventional was what I was after. Looking on valvoline's site...

    Fuel Pump Chk valve

You could probably pop the injector rail up faster then remove plugs. Dry each injector with a rag, place a paper towel under them, energize the pump and see if a wet spot forms. You can pinch the return line anywhere its rubber. Just make sure its actually rubber and not a foam insulated...

    Limited slip going out

FWIW, I had a 2002 trailblazer original owner, had about 285,000 mls. Exterior was straight and good paint and interior looked 15 years newer then the interior of my new to me Tahoe. I would be still driving it and fixing it, but it died a sudden death after an encounter with a concrete hwy...

    Oil Consumption

i agree. But with the amount of oil leak I had prior to fixing them, I am quite surprised at the amount of oil im needing to top off. the only other thing that changed, or might have changed, was pouring in the recommended 5W-30. Its also the first ive ever used the Valvoline High Mileage...

    Oil Consumption

299674. I only know the history from the 293000 make Addressed those when the transmission was changed at 298,***. Any loss of oil now, is not hitting the pavement. No blue upon start up or running PVC and throttle body serviced and cleaned when I converted the wet intake back to the stock...

May consider swapping the carrier for something like a Detroit truetrac. prolly a better working unit anyway.

    Limited slip going out

My first thought would be a fluid change. There was a time when some GM diffs required a 4 oz bottle of additive with the fresh fluid.
