    I would also hit the fittings at your EGR tube with penetrating fluid NOW. I had to use a cutoff wheel at the fitting at the exhaust, so I could fit a deep socket and impact gun on it.

    I had the cd unit apart before to change the backlighting, and to try and disgnose read errors. In the end I had to bite the bullet and buy a refurbished one off ebay. Pricey, but if you want the OEM unit, and you are not an electronics repair tech, it may be the way to go.

    Why are my interior lights on?

    I have to have my "Override" switch permanently depressed, or the interior lights stay illuminated, and leaves the battery dead. I have replaced door switches, to no avail. I am leaning toward the aftermarket "Prestige" alarm system installed circa 1997. It looks like a rats nest under the dash.

    Can you check for codes? O2 sensors on these trucks get torched after many miles in service. Mine would always throw a code when i went on trips with large elevation changes.

    You need a good spray lubricant. Spray it in your lock cylinder, and spray it on any linkage or moving parts you can access. Work your key back and forth and cycle the locking mechanism. The lock at my barn door was all frozen up, and I was able to free it up like this.

    Coolant Leak 1999 5.7

    I had the same symptoms as you. (Along with misfire codes and a vacuum leak) I took a gamble and only replaced the lower intake gaskets, and cleaned everything, and luckily there was no longer coolant anywhere on the engine. This is what my coolant port looked like on my Lower intake.

    I recently acquired a 99 Yukon.Wanting to make it into a mild overland rig.

    I just run the 265/75/R16 BFG KO2. The truck came factory with 245s, Goodyear Wrangler pizza cutters. I got rid of those as soon as possible!
