Search the Owner's Manual for "High-Beam Systems". First of several paragraphs:
High-Beam Systems
IntelliBeam System
If equipped, this system turns the high-beam
headlamps on and off according to surrounding
traffic conditions.

A Denali shold have it, most of the higher trim models either Tahoe or Yukon it's a standard feature.
Check the owners manual for how it works. It should be on by default and only disable when you manually control the high beams or turn on the fog lights.

Here you go…
For auto dimming to work, the light selector must be in "Auto", I never use that. I always control my lights manually because I don't want my daytime running lights to be on during the day. When you put the headlight switch too "on" you have full manual control of the high-beams.

If you press your fog lights button to on it will also cancel out the auto high beam operations but it will go back to working in auto when the fog lights are turned off again. Once you set the auto high beam it will stay in auto mode but it will cancel if you manually flash your headlights and you’ll have to reset it again.
