Just wanted to share this link that shows there should be a calibration available to disable auto door locks..(for '05-'13 !!!)

I tried a 2002 BCM, but it seems to have problems interfacing with my airbag (SIR) module.
Everything else seemed to work.
(Also the TBC-IGN1 fuse could be installed without the key-in-start chime going off.)
(But now that chime doesn't go off with my original BCM, so I'm not sure what the deal is...)

BCM's are frequently grouped from '03-'07, so that is another possibility.

Hoping to get this annoying auto lock taken care of eventually..

I can't speak for the 2002 truck, but I did see an available program update to disable auto door locks on my 2007 truck.

Yep, it's weird.. That link heading says '05-'13..
But then goes on to say '10+ no longer available, will need to contact GM techline support and they may charge you extra..
And it lists '06-'07 for NBS, but says NO new calibrations for '05..

I believe I have an '02 BCM, where it all works in my '05, EXCEPT I'm having problems with the SDM (airbag module) giving a B1001 code..
Some sites claim it needs SPS programming to work, even though '07+ can be done through a Tech2 without SPS..

The stupid door locks on both my chevy's have costed me lots of time and money...
My next vehicle will NOT be a GM!!!

Nope, it just annoys the crap outta me.. No other vehicle has been so annoying.. I am what I am, and It is what It is..

My take is, it's such an obvious thing GM chose to neglect.. until they came out with updated calibrations that you have to pay for..

I find the auto door locks to be very annoying, as well. Just a personal preference, I guess.

For my truck, there are 3 available Programs for the auto door locks. Program 1, the OEM program has the auto door locks. Program 2 eliminates the auto door locks. Program 3 re-installs the auto door locks. And, once you move up from any Program, you cannot move backwards to a lower (older) Program number.

My guess is that GM added Program 3, when the government mandated auto door locks.

Remember in the '80s when you got the first taste from the dealer for free, and it was uncut, puro?
After that, you pay for stuff that's been cut and stepped on, so the dealer can profit so long as you're hooked?

GM doesn't have enough money; they need to show growth every quarter.

small update:

Ewalts Auto tuning has notified me that the SDM module has some differences betwen years..
(Guessing '00-'02 vs '03-'06. There's actually different multiple part numbers every year...)
He will ship out a replacement BCM that will hopefully have the door lock options and interface with my airbag module..
He has been super helpful, even plugging BCM's into his own vehicle. Will update again after I install it!

'05 build date BCM (probably '06 MY?) also does NOT work. My '05 has a BCM made in '04.
Same issue with airbag, plus other issues.
Can do security relearn, but DIC options are "---".
Nav needed VIN relearn, and fuel gauge reads wrong..
Possibly more, but I'm sick of looking..

Even the impact sensors are different between '02, '03, '05, and '07.
So to make this work, you need a BCM plus SDM plus impact sensors.. best case...
Really need a donor truck to make it work forsure..

I am throwing in the towel on this.
