My one man method to taking the top off![]()
The ride was equally amazing on a ‘23 Sierra Denali I had. It’s way beyond magnetic ride. Same here too, wish I’d kept it but the camper my wife wanted was too heavy for it so I got a 2500.I have had 4 Yukons in the last 8 years. Currently a 26 Elevation with Super Cruise (not much else for options).
My favorite was a 2023 XL Denali with Denali Reserve Package. Hands down the best ride I ever owned. I traded it for a Traverse RS (hated it) and then got into my Elevation. Wish I never traded my 23. We were looking to economize a bit as we are getting near 60.
My point is, get a Denali. (Wife had a 22 Suburban HC and wasnt impressed)
I'm really loving those wheels.Brought her home today!
Cruise control is very nice to have if you do highway driving. Adaptive Cruise Control is better especially as the traffic increases.Funny I didn't really care much about the super cruise but the only one around that matched my wish list had it. I absolutely love it! hahaha...
Thanks! They are starting to grow on me, I am still in shock at the sheer size of these things!I'm really loving those wheels.
I hear ya, it can be a bit abrupt at times, but it is much smoother and less jerky than the Wagoneer system. The Wagoneer was overly paranoid and would send you through the windshield, LOLAdaptive cruise works great on the open freeway but especially in stop and go traffic although the brakes can be very abrupt if a slower car moves in your lane on the freeway, it really startled my wife the first time it came on so aggressively.
I agree! These wheels make the brakes look so small!Beauty!
That truck is screaming for performance brakes!
I went with the GM Performance Brake kit mostly because the stock brakes are adequate but the weak link in an otherwise awesome truck.I agree! These wheels make the brakes look so small!
I need to do a search on here, I am sure someone has done the upgrade.
Definitely considering this upgrade, after having the Wagoneer, the Yukon brakes seem a little underwhelming. I was remembering back and we had to replace the front brakes on the Yukon at 30k miles as they were down to metal. So that tells me the front brakes are working hard.I went with the GM Performance Brake kit mostly because the stock brakes are adequate but the weak link in an otherwise awesome truck.
Bigger rotors and calipers with the extra pistons are very noticeable performance improvements, smooth modulation (not sure if this is the correct term) the power is very consistent and steady as you apply pedal.
Very hard to explain in words but you will feel the difference.
Some say it makes the truck stop like a small car and it is close but my wife’s Honda definitely stops great but it is not as smooth as the GM Performance Brake.
The Honda has a long smooth early pressure but not linear and it locks up quickly, if that makes sense.
The GM Performance is really consistent though pedal pressure and will lock up nicely towards the end. Locks up with out feeling jerky, easy to maneuver in tight small areas like fitting into the garage.
Smooth and predictable plus they look great!
