Nice mods. I no longer have my Yukon  but did a little extra customizing to make it mine. I miss the 'ol boy. I left a note for the new owner (traded it in) Things like showing how to use the Nav while moving, special iPhone hookup in glove compartment etc.........And how it was one babied...
I am in the same place myself. I have an 2008 Yukon XL since new and I would like to keep it after getting a sedan in the near future. Have to look at the insurance cost per year but it has done many lumber trips and still looks/drives great! I just can't see letting it go and it would be nice...
This forum seems to know this already but i copy/pasted this for info anyway:
The essence of it is that the deactivated cylinders are cooling, allowing small amounts of oil to be continuously burned off. Over a few thousand miles, that little bit adds up to a quart or two. Most people notice...
Bought mine new in 2008. I have 91K on my 2008 Yukon XL. Around 75k I checked oil for the hell of it and it was nearly empty?! I change oil with synthetic since new every 5000 miles. I have noticed oil consumption between changes and have to put in maybe 4 quarts in between. I read it is the...
7500mi is a good interval for the oil changes:
I agree. I did my first oil change at 1300 miles with Mobil 1 Synthetic and now change every 7-8K. If I go longer ...say to 10K .....no big deal with the synthetic. 15K between oil changes seems excessive to me. I always used 3000 miles as the...
I've done that twice already. Each time I call to cancel and am willing to back it up. They offer me a good deal each time ,so I am still an XM subscriber. A pain in the ass to keep calling but otherwise they will overcharge up the gazoo!
Sorry to hear all the problems you have had but yea...look into lemon law.
My 2008 XL @ 10,500 has been trouble free.:rocking:
As far as GM is concerned I don't understand the financial problems (other than mis-management)
On Long Island here I see soooooooooooo many Esky's...
I finally ,after looking and procrastinating decided on a wheel and got them.
20" American Racing Motto MT100's in chrome.Replaced my 17" OEM rims and tires for my '08 Yukon XL. I decided on going to a local joint rather than Ebay,Craiglist etc... Went to Rayco4 here on Long Island. An ATV shop...
I have used the 85% ethanol in the past.(when gas was 4.35 and ethanol 3.10) Today the price difference doesn't save anything,in fact it costs more per fillup with the gas prices lower. The price has to be at least $1.00 less than gas to be economical.
Reason: less money per gallon but also...
I use 5W-30 Mobil 1 Synthetic oil also. I usually reset the oil life indicator and change on the second time around. 6-7k miles as long as the oil looks good which it has. I know it's opinion but my first oil change was @ 1200 miles.
