    Questions about shocks and struts.

I've replaced mine stock on '14 Tahoe with Bilstein 4600 24186933 rear, and KYB SR4079 front assembly. Very happy with both. Old shocks and struts were really shot at ~120K. They were not doing anything. Even the front springs looked shortened on disassembly.

    New to catch can

I have '14 Tahoe with updated driver-side valve cover. I installed TWO catch-cans sequentially, and I'm catching and draining quite a bit every 500Mi. The second can has a glass bowl, and it gets fuzzy in few days of light driving, I take it off and clean with brake cleaner. I replace the...

    New thermostat overheating

I had good luck with the vacuuming tool that pulls air out of the cooling system before filling it with coolant. It has worked every time so far, no air pockets. I will use it again soon when I replace the pump, the hoses, etc. as a preventive maintenance.

HP Tuner for 2016 Tahoe L83/6L80

Have you looked into OBD2 splitter? You can then use both your ScanGauge and the AFM disable dongle.

    Shocks for '14 Tahoe.

Perhaps, I'm not going to be the first one to do Bilstein swap on '14 Tahoe. By every measure available my shocks and struts are still fine, it is bouncy because it is empty all the time, and towing nothing. Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

    Shocks for '14 Tahoe.

Turns out, my factory rear shocks look nothing like Nivomats, and the springs are quite beefy. So I think I'm going with Bilstein 4600 Series 24-186933 rear and 24-186926 front. Thank you, guys!

    Shocks for '14 Tahoe.

Gee, you've got me confused again. I don't have G65, but I do have ZW7, which I thought was self- leveling Nivomat... Now I don't even now what I have there...

Weird smell when A/C is turned on

That's weird. I'd think that Snap-On scanner would do a better job than my old (perhaps, Chinese) Maxidas that only goes to 2013... Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

Weird smell when A/C is turned on

Afterblow has really a lot of presentation online and in GM service manuals. What I've found though that in my '14 Tahoe it doesn't perform as they say. It's a full blast more than 10 minutes after I shut the truck down. Than there's another jolt in about 10 minutes. And yet another one down the...

Weird smell when A/C is turned on

Check afterblow option if it's enabled. This might not be an error after all. Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

    Shocks for '14 Tahoe.

I'm ready for the suspension work on my '14 4WD Tahoe, but can't find a better option for my rear ZW7 Nivomat shocks. Besides Delco's 560-700 or 560-703, what other options do I have? Is there a conversion kit like Bilstein has for the prior years? In the front, I think I will use the Bilstein...

You don't have to, although they managed to sell the truck to you :) With no filter! Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

That's mold growing in your evaporator. There are products to spray into cabin air intake set on recirculation. Alternatively, you can cut open the slot to install your own cabin filter, which is right in front of heater core and evaporator, and spray there before you install the filter. I did...
